And now for a very important message from Mr. Boykin and the WMS administration — In the event of a school closure due to public health concerns, students should be prepared to complete assignments at home and ON-LINE using the CANVAS platform. To help us test the system, at this time we would ask ALL STUDENTS in all grades to scan the QR code on the screen and complete the “Student Technology Survey.”

Seriously — right now — take out your iPad and scan this code! A link to the survey is also available in the Morning Announcements Blog on our website, and in the WMS Counseling page in CANVAS. Again, it’s MANDATORY that EVERYONE complete the online survey TODAY. We’ll be leaving the QR code on the screen throughout our broadcast this morning.

- Please be advised that the “Refocusing Assembly” originally scheduled for today has been POSTPONED until a later date. Details will be coming soon. So everyone should be following the NORMAL schedule today.
. - However, both the Best Buddies Club AND the Yearbook Staff Pizza Party will still be held NEXT FRIDAY — even though there’s no assembly today. See Ms. Parris or Mr. Schonfeld with any questions.
. - Calling all PTA Reflections Contest WINNERS! Please come to the library RIGHT NOW to get your picture taken for the Yearbook. This includes everyone who received an Outstanding, Excellence, or Merit award in Dance, Literature, Film, Music, Photography, or Visual Arts. Again, all PTA Reflections winners should report to the library RIGHT NOW for your Yearbook picture. Sorry for the last minute notice — but we’ve got to get it done TODAY. Thanks for understanding, PTA Reflections winners!
. - The Sweet-16 round of the March Madness Tournament of Books is complete — and officials are now counting up the votes. Stay tuned next week when we reveal the Elite-8, and the next round of voting begins. And don’t forget: the TA with the best bracket in each grade will get an awesome prize — so make sure you vote! Good luck, wolves, and may the best book WIN!!
. - And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch. Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus! See Ms. Wielechoski in the office with any questions.

And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! There are a lot of AMAZING students here at WMS — and they deserve to be recognized! Teachers from every grade and every team have identified a distinguished group of students to receive the Wolves With Character Award — for demonstrating outstanding “HONESTY” in the month of February.

Just take a look at the screen to see all the deserving honorees from the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Congratulations, wolves with character!! [clap]. Be sure to stop by room 110 during your grade-level lunch today — you’ve earned yourself something sweet!
