  • We begin today with WOLF PACK PRIDE!  The WMS Girls Basketball team traveled to TJ last Thursday — and played a game for the ages.  The Wolves were down by two going into the final seconds — when a CLUTCH buzzer beater tied it up and sent the game to overtime.  Then the Wolves really took charge — holding TJ SCORELESS in OT, and cruising to victory:  43 to 35.  Great game, Wolves!! [clap]
  • WOLF PACK PRIDE continues with a big shout-out to the WMS Math Counts team — for placing in the top-10 during the Math Counts Regional Competition last Saturday.  8th grader Anirudh S. was the high scorer for Williamsburg, and everyone on the team contributed.  Way to go, mathletes!! [clap]  Whether it’s sports or academics, let’s support our students — and Be a Part of the Pride!
  • Attention 7th and 8th graders! Your new ONE SEMESTER electives begin TODAY.  So be sure to check StudentVUE to confirm your class and location. See your grade level counselor with any questions.
  • Play that FUNKY MUSIC!  The Washington-Lee High School Band is hosting an Informational Meeting — TONIGHT from 7 to 8 P.M. in the W-and-L Band Room, number 1409.  Interested students and parents are encouraged to attend for a band orientation, plus a Q & A session with Band Boosters.
  • Sister Circle will be meeting TODAY at 2:30 SHARP in room 233.  There will be a guest CHEF joining the meeting today — so participants are reminded to be on time — or you’ll miss all the yummy food!  See Ms. Pointer with any questions.
  • The Yorktown Mentoring program is cancelled for today.  Again, there is NO Yorktown mentoring after school today.
  • Attention 8th grade Model UN members! There will be a Planning Meeting for WOLFMUN — TOMORROW during ASP 1 in room 202. Again, this meeting is ONLY for 8th graders. See Ms. Carlson with any questions.
  • The WMS Spring Musical will have its first ALL CAST meeting NEXT Monday, February 13th during ASP 1 and 2 in the auditorium. Please note that it is NOT starting today as was originally planned — because Mr. Brown needs a few extra days to reorganize following the wrap of the Winter play. Also, any students interested in working backstage on the Tech Crew are invited to attend, as well. See Mr. Brown with any questions.
  • And now an IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT about school procedures when arriving in the morning:  Beginning next MONDAY, students will only be able to enter the building through Door 1 in the front of the building and Door 4 by the bus loop. All other doors will be locked. Upon entering the building, all students MUST report to their holding areas:  6th graders to the lobby, 7th graders and students eating breakfast to the cafeteria, and 8th graders to the auditorium.  See you Assistant Principal Rowden with any questions.
