- We begin today with WOLF PACK PRIDE! The WMS girls basketball team wrapped up a great season on Tuesday with a big win over Jefferson Middle School — 39 to 17. The Wolves came out shooting, played tough ‘D’, and cruised to victory. Williamsburg finishes the year with a 5 and 3 record, good for 2nd place in the division. Way to go, wolves!! [clap]
- Calling all Math Lovers! Math Counts will meet TODAY during lunch and after school. The lunch meetings are: 6th grade in room 203, 7th grade in room 134, and 8th grade in room WW3. The after school meeting will be in WW4 for all students. Hooray for math!!
- Attention MODEL UN Club! There will be an important meeting TODAY during ASP 1 in room 202. Participants will be preparing for the “William and Mary” and “Sidwell” conferences. See Ms. Carlson with any questions.
- The Leo Club is gearing up for exciting spring! New and returning members are invited to a meeting TODAY during ASP 1 in room 120. Participants will be planning for a range of projects, including Earth Day, a Memorial Day March, and Service with Seniors. Go Leos!!!
- Latinas Leading tomorrow will meet TODAY during ASP I in room 214. See Ms. Pointer or Mrs. Winter with any questions.
- Who wants pizza?! The WMS “Future Business Leaders of America” will be selling pizza this FRIDAY after school in the main lobby and by the cafeteria. It’s just 2-dollars per slice, and all money raised will go to support the Arlington Food Assistance Center — which provides groceries to over 2-THOUSAND families in need, every week. See Ms. Spanos with any questions.
- Give the gift of a story! WMS is now collecting books to support the Arlington Book Shelf, classroom libraries, and other local charities. Donation boxes are located in the front lobby by the library, and books can be dropped off until FRIDAY. See Ms. Han with any questions.
- The 2016-2017 WMS yearbook is on sale NOW!! Just get an order form from your TA teacher — or better yet, get yours ONLINE by clicking the “Order Year Book” link on the WMS homepage. Supplies are limited, so get yours before they’re gone. The WMS Yearbook — Don’t miss out on the memories!
- The WMS “Mannequin Challenge” is still accepting submissions! Here’s what you do: Use your iPad to film a Mannequin Challenge video in your TA, then go to the WOLF-TV link on the WMS website to upload and submit your video. The most creative entry from each grade-level TA will receive WOLF PAWS for everyone — AND will be featured on WOLF-TV!! The submission deadline is MONDAY, February, 27th. I challenge YOU, Williamsburg, now let’s see what you’ve got!!
