  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. And remember to go to your TA for Wolf Time.  Again, this is a B-Day, and Wolf Time is in your TA. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • It’s time to start thinking about NEXT year’s classes!  Course Request Forms are DUE on Friday, February 23rd.  So talk it over with your family, get it signed, and get it turned in.  Remember — these decisions MATTER!  If you don’t pick your classes, someone ELSE will pick them for you. See your class counselor with any questions.

  • Attention 6th, 7th, and 8th graders!  All PE students should bring your iPads to class this week for 3rd quarter physical fitness testing. Once again, bring your iPads to PE this week.

  • Everybody in the pool!  The WMS Swim and Dive teams are getting ready for their new seasons.  To participate, interested swimmers and divers should complete the Google Form in Canvas, or scan the QR code outside of Ms. Hogwood’s office. The swim form is due TODAY, and the dive form is due by NEXT Friday.

  • Will you be my Valentine??? The WMS Anime Club is hosting a Valentine’s Day Raffle for a chance to win a 100-dollar gift certificate at Yume Sushi! Raffle tickets are just 1-dollar each, and can be purchased TODAY through next TUESDAY during all grade level lunches OR by scanning the QR code displayed around the school.  All sales will benefit the Anime Club. And the winner will be announced next week on Valentine’s Day. Good luck, and happy Valentine’s Day!!

  • 6th and 7/8th grade dances, 2024Let’s DANCE!!  Next week, WMS is hosting a pair of school dances.  On Wednesday, February 14th, 6th graders will have a Valentine’s Day Dance right after school in the cafeteria; and on Friday, February 16th, 7th and 8th graders will have a Mardi Gras Masquerade Dance from 7 to 9pm in the gym.

    There will be a DJ and dancing, fun and games, snacks, and good times with friends.  But please remember that all school rules will still be in effect, there’s no re-entry if you leave early, and you must depart or be picked up promptly at the end of the dance. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

  • Spirit Week -- 2/12-2/16 2023We’ve got spirit, yes we do, we’ve got spirit, how about YOU?! Next week is SPIRIT WEEK here at WMS — leading up to the Valentine’s Day and Mardi Gras Masquerade dances.

    Here’s the rundown: Monday is Sports Day — and in honor of the Super Bowl, you can ALSO wear Taylor Swift gear; Tuesday is Twin Day — so dress like your look-a-like; Wednesday is Valentine’s Day — so wear red, white, or pink; Thursday is Neon Day — wear your brightest colors; and finally, Friday is PJ Day — wear your favorite jammies.

  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  The WMS girls basketball team defeated Gunston Middle School last Tuesday in their most decisive win all season — 64 to 10!! — taking a 27 to zero point lead in the first quarter and never looking back.
    .
    Then, we won AGAIN yesterday against Jefferson by a score of 40 to 6!  With the victory, the girls basketball team remains undefeated on the year — with a perfect record of 7 wins and no losses.  Way to go, baller wolves!! [clap]

  • And finally, February is Black History Month — a time to celebrate the many contributions that African Americans have made to this country.
    .
