  • We begin today with WOLF PACK PRIDE!  The WMS sports program has a pair of big games scheduled for today.  First, the boys Wrestling Team travels to Kenmore Middle School for a 3:15 match on the mat.  They’re looking for their first win of the season, after a tough loss to Swanson last week.  Go get ’em, wrestling wolves!!

  • Meanwhile, the boys Basketball Team is HOT!  How hot are they?  They’re going for their SIXTH straight win today against Swanson Middle School, right here on the home court in the WMS gym at 3:15.  So pack the stands, root them on to victory, and Be a Part of the Pride!

  • Attention 8th graders — or should we say, rising 9th graders?! Your high school Course Request Forms must be completed and returned to your counselor, Mr. Tuttle, by this FRIDAY at the LATEST. There are a ton of fun, interesting, and challenging classes to choose from at Yorktown. But if you miss the deadline, you may not get the one you want. So stop procrastinating, and turn-in your CRF!! See Mr. Tuttle with any questions.

  • And speaking of High School — Arlington Tech will be hosting an “Ice Cream Social and Academic Planning Night” for this year’s applicants — TONIGHT from 6:30 to 7:30 at the Career Center.  Prospective students and their families are invited to tour the school, have a Q and A with current Tech students and teachers, and learn about scheduling options.  So come by, have an ice cream, and start planning for your future at Arlington Tech!  See Mr. Tuttle with any questions.

  • Everybody in the pool!  The WMS swim team is hosting an informational meeting TODAY during ASP 1 in the cafeteria. Interested athletes are encouraged to stop by and learn all about the upcoming season.  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions, or if you’re unable to attend.

  • Sister Circle will be meeting TODAY during ASP 1 in room 233. Members and allies are encouraged to come out for a little Girl Talk — and a lot of fun activities! There will be a special guest speaker this week — and PIZZA! — so don’t be late.  See Ms. Cameron with any questions.

  • “All the world’s a stage!”  The Cast List for the WMS Spring Musical is now posted outside of room 228.  The entire cast is invited to the show’s first “read through” — TODAY during ASP 1 on the Main Stage.  Don’t miss it!  See Mr. Brown with any questions.

  • Calling all MUNers!  The WMS Model UN Club will be meeting TODAY during ASP 1 in room 202.  Participants are reminded to bring their completed Spring Conference Commitment Forms, or if you need a new one — get it ASAP!  See Ms. Carlson with any questions.

  • Who wants CAKE??? The WMS Symphony Club will be holding a bake sale this FRIDAY after school by the cafeteria. The sweet treats are just a few bucks to enjoy, and all money raised will be used to buy music for the club.  So be sure to get some yummy snacks before they’re gone!

  • And in a related story — Symphony Club members are reminded to bring in your baked goods for tomorrow’s bake sale.  Just drop-off your edible contributions in room C105.  See Ms. Tuttle with any questions.
