  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • Beginning today, APS is celebrating “School Counselor Week!”  Here at WMS, we have a staff of counselors, social workers, psychologists, therapists and many others — and every one of them works throughout the year to support our social, emotional, and academic success.
    .
So today and all week long — when you see anyone from our Student Services Staff — be sure to say “hello” and thank them for all they do.  Way to go, school counselor wolves — and THANK YOU!!! [clap]
    .
  • It’s the first day of the 2nd semester, which means that 7th and 8th graders in semester-long classes are beginning their new electives today and tomorrow.  Be sure to check your new room locations — or see your grade-level counselor with any questions.  Again, new semester-long classes begin this week.
    .
  • This next announcement is for ALL students in ALL grades — so listen up!  Everyone in Health & PE will be completing an online survey during class either today or tomorrow.  Students are asked to report to the AUDITORIUM for the survey — and to sit with your class.  Again, Health and PE will be meeting in the auditorium today and tomorrow to complete a survey with your iPads.  See Ms. Szwed with any questions.
    .
  • A pair of announcements from Mr. Dudek for all of his technology wolves!  The Technology Student Association — otherwise known as the TSA — is back after a short break.  New members and old are invited to the first meeting of the year — TODAY during ASP 1 in room 129.  Also, Mr. Dudek’s ACT 2 Inventions class begins on TUESDAY, also in room 129.  Everyone who signed-up — and anyone else who might still like to sign up — should see Mr. Dudek for more information.
    .
  • Attention all musical theatre wolves! Auditions for this year’s Spring musical — Mary Poppins, Jr. — are scheduled for TODAY and TOMORROW during ASP 1 and 2 in the auditorium. Performers should be prepared to sing a song — even “Happy Birthday” would be just fine — and recite a nursery rhyme as part of your audition. And even if you don’t want to perform ON stage — the production needs plenty of “backstage” help, too! Stage crew sign-ups will also take place after school. See Mr. Brown with any questions — and break a leg!!
    .
  • Calling all GAMERS!! Are you ready to take your gaming to the next level? Then come to the new “Brains versus Games” club — meeting TODAY and every Monday during ASP 1 in room 106. Participants will use critical and analytical thinking skills to develop new gaming strategies — and make themselves UNBEATABLE! See Mr. Bell with any questions. Game on!!
    .
  • Enjoy learning about the world, its people and places? Want to improve your community? Well, you can do it all with GEOGRAPHY! Be a part of the WMS Geo Club — meeting TODAY, and every Monday, during ASP1 in room WW9. See Mr. Miller with any questions.
    .
  • And finally today, there’s a serious issue that we’ve been talking about in our community for the past few years, and it remains just as important NOW and is was back when we started.  We need to talk — about VAPING.  Please direct your attention to the following Public Service Announcement about VAPING — staring our Substance Abuse Counselor Ms. Sexton, and a number of your classmates from WMS.
