  • The wild winter weather just keeps on coming!  Due to the delayed opening, we will be running on a modified schedule today. Be sure to check with your TA teachers for class and lunch times. And a special note for 6th graders:  today is a ‘C’ Day — which means you’ll be following a 7-period schedule just like everyone else.  And remember — there is NO Wolf Time today, so please proceed directly to 1st period following the Morning Announcements.

  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!  The WMS girls basketball team earned a THRILLING, come-from-behind victory over Jefferson Middle School on Tuesday — winning 29 to 20 on the road.  The Wolves were down by 9-points at the half — but came out SHOOTING in the second — and quickly retook the lead.  Then the DEFENSE took over — forcing 15 turnovers and ensuring that our team would stay on top!  Big props to 8th graders Brooke S., Mia S., and Grace M. who led the team in scoring; and Ana G. for leading in steals.  Congratulations on a great all-around game, baller wolves!! [clap]  The girls basketball team will be playing their FINAL game of the season — TODAY after school against Kenmore in the WMS gym.  So let’s all pack the stands, root them on to victory, and be a part of the pride!!

Again, if you have not yet taken home your submissions and certificates, please collect them from the library by this FRIDAY. And of course — congratulations to everyone who took part in the contest!

Yearbooks cost 40-dollars — or for 55-dollars you can get the exclusive “Signature Package.” Just go the WMS Website to place your order TODAY — or stop by room 137 and ask Ms. Kontos and the yearbook staff for more information. The WMS Yearbook — Don’t miss out on the memories!

  • The WMS Kindness Club’s “Have a Heart Campaign” is in its final week.  Students and staff are encouraged to donate used towels and blankets that will go to support local animal shelters — and the hundreds of homeless pets they’re trying to get adopted.
