  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • Hey, wolves!  Have you voted on the 2020 SUPERLATIVES?  There’s just a ONE DAY LEFT — so students AND teachers are encouraged to go to the Morning Announcements Blog, select the link to your grade-level superlatives quiz, then name the classmate who best represents each category, including:  best smile, cutest couple, biggest class clown, and many more.  Cast you vote for your class superlatives TODAY!!

    .

  • But wait — there’s MORE!  The 2020 Yearbook is also conducting a survey about your POP CULTURE favorites — singers, movies, video games, and more!  The survey will be available until this FRIDAY in the Morning Announcements section of the WMS website.  So vote for your POP CULTURE favorites today!
  • Hey, 8th graders — high school is calling! Course Request Forms are due TODAY at the latest. Be sure to look carefully at all of the courses for any special instructions — as some core and elective classes require additional applications and letters of recommendation. If you’ve lost your CRF or have any additional questions, please see your counselor as soon as possible.  Once again, CRFs for 8th graders are due TODAY!
    .
  • And 7th graders — your CRFs are almost due, too!  Course Request Forms for up-and-coming 8th graders must be completed and SIGNED by this FRIDAY at the latest.  Please turn them in to either Ms. Boyers or Ms. Kenney.  Again, 7th graders — your CRFs for the 8th grade are due at the end of the week.
    .
  • And an extra reminder to 7th graders — if you’d like to take Yearbook as an elective next year, be sure to get an application from Mr. Schonfeld in the Library Classroom.  Yearbook is a fast-paced, project-based course where the students use photography and graphic design to create a keepsake for the ages.  It’ll be the most fun you’ve ever had in school!  Sign up for Yearbook today!
    .
  • Calling all actors and tech!  The WMS Theatre Department will be holding its first rehearsal and informational meeting for the upcoming Spring musical this THURSDAY during ASP 1 & 2 in the auditorium. All interested students should plan to attend.  See Mr. Brown with any questions.  Break a leg!
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!  The WMS boys basketball team got back to their winning ways last Thursday — trouncing Dorothy Hamm Middle School 47 to 32 on the home court.  8th grader Garrett W. led the way with an incredible 20 points — while the entire team played overwhelming offense and defense for all four quarters.  Way to go, baller wolves!! [clap]   Boys basketball will be playing their last HOME GAME of the season today after school against Kenmore — so everyone is encouraged to come out, pack the stands, and root them on to victory!
    .
  • And Wolf Pack Pride wraps-up with a big shout-out to all three WOLFBOTS robotics teams — who competed in the NORTHERN VIRGINIA VEX robotics league tournament over the weekend. They all did a great job — and showed tremendous improvement throughout the season.  But none moreso than the WOLFBOTS ALPHA team of Ojas C., Jackson, D., and Matteo G. — which finished in 2nd place among all competitors.  Congratulations, and way to go, robotics wolves!! [clap]
