- Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Attention all students! Starting TODAY — all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will begin their new Wolf Time rotations. So be sure to check with your TA teachers to find out where you’ll be going. Once again, the new Wolf Time rotation begins today!
. - It’s time to start thinking about NEXT year’s classes! Course Request Forms are DUE on Friday, February 23rd. So talk it over with your family, get it signed, and get it turned in. Remember — these decisions MATTER! If you don’t pick your classes, someone ELSE will pick them for you. See your class counselor with any questions.
. - Everybody in the pool! The WMS Dive team is getting ready for the new season. To participate, interested divers should complete the Google Form in Canvas, or scan the QR code on the Activities Board. The form must be submitted by this FRIDAY. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
. - Will you be my Valentine??? The WMS Anime Club is hosting a Valentine’s Day Raffle for a chance to win a 100-dollar gift certificate at Yume Sushi! Raffle tickets are just 1-dollar each, and can be purchased TODAY and TOMORROW during all grade level lunches OR by scanning the QR code displayed around the school. All sales will benefit the Anime Club, and the winner will be announced on Valentine’s Day. Good luck!!
. - Game on! The annual WMS staff versus students basketball game is this THURSDAY at 2:45 in the main gym! And after that, our WMS girls basketball team will play its final home game of the season against rival Swanson Middle School. So come on out, pack the stands, and root your classmates on to victory! And be sure to bring money for snacks!!
. - And now for a “wellness tip” from our school clinic! It’s cold, flu, and covid season again — so here are three simple strategies for keeping our shared environment HEALTHY and SAFE! First — WASH YOUR HANDS!! Second — Fully cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing. And third — if you’re not feeling well, please STAY HOME. Together, we can stop these germs and viruses BEFORE they spread. See our school nurse with any questions.
. - Let’s DANCE!! This week, WMS is hosting a pair of school dances. On Wednesday, the 6th graders will have a Valentine’s Day Dance right after school in the cafeteria; and on Friday, the 7th and 8th graders will have a Mardi Gras Masquerade Dance from 7 to 9pm in the gym.
.
There will be a DJ and dancing, fun and games, snacks, and good times with friends. But please remember that all school rules will still be in effect, there’s no re-entry if you leave early, and you must depart or be picked up promptly at the end of the dance. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
. - And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Congratulations to our Wolfbots Robotics teams for competing in the “A Day at the Mall” competition over the weekend. Big shout out to the 8th grade team of Jackson S, Thurston R, Sid G, and John M. for placing fifth overall, and top-10 in the Skills competition.
.
Props also go to the 8th grade team of Rahill M, Cole D, Miles H, and Zayd L., who were also in the top-10 for Skills. Good luck to those teams who may be eligible for the State competition next month. Way to go, robotics wolves!! [clap]
. - It’s SPIRIT WEEK here at WMS!! Thanks to all the students and staff who showed their school spirit and dressed up for Sports Day. You’ve got spirit, yes you do!!
.
And here’s the rundown for the rest of the week: Tuesday is Twin Day — so dress like your look-a-like; Wednesday is Valentine’s Day — so wear red, white, or pink; Thursday is Neon Day — wear your brightest colors; and finally, Friday is PJ Day — wear your favorite jammies.
.
Get into the school spirit for Spirit Week — and be a part of the Wolf Pack Pride!!
