  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule.  That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class.  And for Wolf Time this week, everyone should go to your TA classroom. Again, this is a B-Day — and go to your TA for Wolf Time. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • The 2nd semester may be just starting — but it’s already time think about next year’s classes!  Here’s the plan:  TA teachers will be distributing Course Request Forms to all 6th and 7th graders during TA this morning.  Meanwhile, 8th graders will be wrapping up their academic planning sessions with the Yorktown counselors today during Wolf Time.  Then over the next few weeks, everyone will get a chance to meet individually with your grade-level counselor. CRFs are due on February 24th — but don’t wait until the last minute!!
    .
  • Attention Ms. Warden’s and Ms. Woodbury’s 8th grade science classes!  Students should report to the LIBRARY for class today.  Once again, Ms. Warden’s and Ms. Woodbury’s science classes — don’t go to your classroom, go directly to the library. And be sure to bring all of your materials!
    .
  • Calling all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders!! All students must bring their iPads to PE this week for Physical Fitness Testing!  When fitness testing is complete, you can lock your iPad in your PE locker. But DON’T FORGET them after class!  Once again, everyone should bring your iPad to PE.
    .

    .
  • And speaking of Homecoming:  Ms. Hogwood is looking for students to help make posters, promote the dance and basketball game, and decorate for the dance. Interested students should complete the Google Form sent to you in Canvas by 1pm TODAY.  Thanks for your help, wolves!!
    .
  • Everybody in the pool!! The WMS Swim and Diving teams are getting ready for a new season.  Interested athletes should complete the Google Form located outside of the Activities Office by February 21st.
    .
  • Up next, an American athlete who had been detained in Russia for nearly an entire year has finally won her freedom.
    .
Student-Reporters Grey H. and Jack K. bring us the story.  Roll Tape!
  • And finally, today is National Women and Girls in Sports Day.  And our very own Spotlight Women’s Sports Club is honoring the occasion with a bake sale fundraiser — this FRIDAY after school in the main lobby and by the cafeteria.
    .
All proceeds will go the the Women’s Sports Foundation — which is dedicated to supporting female athletes in sports and in life. So come to the bake sale this Friday, and celebrate women and girls in sports!!
