  • Let’s get coding, Williamsburg! It’s Day 3 of the “Global Hour of Code.” To participate, just update your iPad to iOS 10, download “Swift Playgrounds” from the App Catalogue and then you’re ready to begin! Please contact Ms. Spanos with any questions. Now be the future, and code, code CODE!!
  • Pizza Friday is Back! The Model UN Club will be selling pizza and cookies for just 2-dollars this FRIDAY after school in the Main Lobby and outside the Cafeteria. All money raised will go to support the upcoming UN conferences. Come hungry!
  • Make a submission to the Black History Month WRITING CONTEST! Here’s the challenge: Write an essay about contributions made by African-Americans that make a positive impact on your daily life through science, technology, education, politics, or the arts. The contest is open to all students in all grades. The deadline to submit is this FRIDAY. Please see Ms. Pointer or your English teacher for more information, and to submit your entry.   • Sister Circle will be meeting on MONDAY after school in room 233. There will be a special guest speaker who’s an EXPERT on 21st century leadership skills — so you won’t want to miss it!  And be sure to bring a friend! Please see Ms. Pointer with any questions.
  • Need help with Spanish? The Yorktown Spanish Honor Society is back — offering FREE tutoring next TUESDAY during ASP 2 in room WW5. Get extra help with grammar and vocab — and everything you need to succeed. Just sign up with your Spanish teacher to attend, or see Senora Stewart with any questions. Hasta pronto!
  • All black and Latino middle school boys are invited to join the “Boys Cohort” — a new club where you can meet new people, and learn how to be a LEADER in your community.
