  • Beginning TODAY, APS is celebrating “Principal Appreciation Week!” On behalf of the students, teachers, and PTA, we’d like to take this opportunity to say “Thank You” to our amazing team of Principals: Mr. Laurie, Ms. Rowden, Ms. McCarthy, and Mr. Hicks. Let’s have a round of applause and show them how much we all appreciate their hard work. Way to go, Principal wolves!! [clap] And remember: if you see one of our principals in the halls this week, be sure to stop and say “Thanks!”
  • Sister Circle will be meeting TODAY during ASP 1 in room 233. Please see Ms. Pointer with any questions.
  • Need help with Spanish? The Yorktown Spanish Honor Society is back — offering FREE tutoring this TUESDAY during ASP 2 in room WW6. Get extra help with grammar and vocab — and everything you need to succeed. Just sign up with your Spanish teacher to attend, or see Senora Stewart with any questions. Hasta pronto!
  • It’s time to show your Wolf Pack Pride!! A brand new season is getting underway for a pair of WMS sports — and the teams need your support! First up — the Girls Basketball team hosts Swanson on TUESDAY after school. Then on THURSDAY the girls go on the road for a shootout against Kenmore. Also on THURSDAY, the Boys Wrestling team looks to “take down” the competition at their first match of the year — against Kenmore in the WMS gym after school. So come on out, root on our teams to vicory — and “Be a Part of the Pride!!”
  • “Oh say, can you see?!” The WMS girls basketball team is seeking a few good singers to perform the National Anthem at home games this year. So if you like to sing, enjoy performing in front of crowds, and want to support our local team — then please see Ms. Boyers in the main office for your chance to sing the National Anthem. This opportunity is open to both students AND our talented staff. So let’s hear it, singing wolves!!
