  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • The 2019 Winter Concert series is in full swing here at Williamsburg.  The next performance will TOMORROW NIGHT with the WMS Chorus, and then the Orchestra goes on Thursday — both at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. And then this FRIDAY the 13th — the Band, Chorus, and Orchestra will ALL be performing for the students during their grade-level elective periods. Admission is absolutely FREE! So come support your friends and classmates as they celebrate the winter and holiday seasons with beautiful music.
    .
  • All the BEST BOOKS are on sale NOW! Be sure to check out the WMS-PTA Academic Book Fair in the school library — from NOW until THURSDAY. 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will all have a chance to visit with their English classes — but everyone is welcome to stop by any day of the week — either before school or during your lunch period. Plus, the Book Fair will also be open late-night this TUESDAY and THURSDAY — to coincide with the Winter Concerts. So don’t forget to bring your money — and go get yourself a good book!
    .
  • Tis the Season for Giving Back to Your Community! WMS is sponsoring a Holiday Food Drive for the Arlington Food Assistance Center. Students and staff are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items — which will all go to deserving families in our community. Collection boxes are located outside of the library, cafeteria, gym and auditorium — from now until December 17th. See Ms. Scott with any questions. Together, we can make a difference!
    .
  • And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch. Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus! See Ms. Wielechoski in the office with any questions.
    .
  • And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Solomon — Practice makes perfect!  Students are reminded to MANUALLY enter your iPad password at least a couple of times each day.  This will help you remember it!  Don’t just rely on the Touch ID to unlock your device — because sometimes it doesn’t work, and you might get locked out of your iPad.  Also, it’s always a good idea to WRITE DOWN your password so you don’t forget it — and consider sharing it with your parents, too! Any other problems or concerns with your iPad? Just submit an online “Student Tech. Help Request” — and Ms. Solomon will have the solution!
    .
  • And finally today — The man… the myth… the legend.  Williamsburg Middle school bid farewell to a popular assistant principal this fall.  And student reporters Olivia S. and Katelynn C. were there for our final goodbye — to Mr. HICKS!
