Today is an EARLY RELEASE day, so the schedule is a little different than usual. We will be following a modified C-Day schedule. That means TA ends at 8 o’clock, and then you’ll be attending periods 1 through 7. Be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a modified C-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

Attention all TAs!! Smile for the camera! Over the next two weeks, the WMS Yearbook Staff will be taking TA pictures of the entire school! Here’s the schedule: 8th grade TAs will be this Thursday and Friday. Make-ups and retakes for all grades will be scheduled for after Winter Break. Contact Mr. Schonfeld with any questions — and say CHEESE!!

Due to the early release today, there will be no sports, clubs, nor intramurals after school. Once again, all after-school activities are CANCELLED today. But regular actives will resume tomorrow. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

Calling all music lovers! You’re invited to the WMS Winter Concert! The WMS Band played last night; but you can still catch the Chorus TONIGHT at 7pm; and the Orchestra next Wednesday at 6:30pm — both in the WMS auditorium. Admission is FREE, and there will be baked goods on sale after the shows. Contact our music teachers — Ms. Wallace or Ms. McTavish — with any questions about the Winter Concert.

Candy Grams cost just 1-dollar, and will be on sale before school by the cafeteria until this Friday. They’ll be delivered to the person-of-your-choice on December 14th. Give a “helping hand” to those in need! The WMS Helping Hands Club is hosting a holiday gift drive — from now to next Wednesday — benefiting Virginia Hospital Center Pediatrics. Students and staff may leave UNWRAPPED and UNOPENED gifts in the collection bin in the main lobby. THANK YOU for your support and generosity!

Here’s what to do: Just go to Settings -> then select General -> and finally Software Updates. If you can’t update due to storage, please submit a Student Tech Help Request. Don’t delay, wolves — update your iPad to 15.7 TODAY!!

Calling all athletes! The WMS wrestling and boys basketball seasons are starting soon. Interested players are reminded to get your physicals turned-in by December 16th at the latest. Wrestling practices begin on January 3rd — there are NO TRYOUTS for wrestling — EVERYONE is welcome to join! But there are tryouts for boys basketball, which are also scheduled to begin on January 3rd. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions about wrestling or boys basketball.

Calling all actors, singers and dancers! The WMS Winter Musical — Shrek, Jr. — is coming soon! Auditions are scheduled for January 9th and 10th after school in the Auditorium. Interested performers should prepare a short monologue and song for the audition. For more information, just scan the QR code located by the theater. The show also needs a DANCE CAPTAIN to teach the choreography to the cast. See Ms. Mac if you’d like to be considered. Break a leg, everyone!!

All the best books are on sale NOW!! The Scholastic Book Fair is OPEN all this week in the WMS library. Every English class is already signed up to to participate, but students can also visit before TA, during lunch, and after school on most days. The Book Fair will also be open for special evening hours this Tuesday and Wednesday to coincide with our upcoming Winter Concerts. See our school librarians for more information. Hooray for books!!

We’ve got spirit, yes we do, we’ve got spirit, how about YOU?! The Williamsburg SCA is PUMPED to announced our Winter Break Spirit WEEK!! Every day next week, students and staff are encouraged to get into the SPIRIT and dress up with the daily theme.

Here’s the rundown: Monday, is Switch it Up Day — students dress like teachers, teachers dress like students. Tuesday is Character Day — from your favorite book or movie. Wednesday is Sports Day — support your favorite team. Then comes Throwback Thursday — it’s a blast from the past. And finally, Friday is everyone’s favorite holiday tradition — Ugly Sweater Day!
