  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • We begin today with WOLF PACK PRIDE! We’re wrapping-up SPIRIT WEEK today at WMS! Thanks to all the students and staff who participated in our favorite holiday tradition: UGLY SWEATER DAY! Be on the look out for yetis, stripes and polka dots, cats, and of course — human Christmas trees. We’ve got school spirit — yes we do!!
    .
And thanks again to EVERYONE for making the year-end Spirit Week an event to remember. Now let’s keep this great school spirit going in 2020 — and Be a Part of the Pride!!
    .
  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with a HUGE shout-out to the 8th grade girls who played on the Yorktown Freshmen Field hockey team this past season. They went undefeated, scored 42 goals on offense, and didn’t give up a single goal on defense! Congratulations to Olivia N, Alexis W., Piper O., Mia H., Meera V., Kylie W., Taylor W., Sasha G., Marin P., Maggie O., and Grace M. Way to go, hockey wolves!! Coach Richards says you’re AWESOME!!! [clap]
    .
  • Calling all Best Buddies! The Best Buddies “Cookie Decorating Contest” is going on RIGHT NOW in the cafeteria.  If you haven’t gone yet — Ms. Parris says to grab your stuff and get down there before all the cookies are gone!  It’s the place to be for good times with good friends. Thanks, Buddy!!
    .
  • Calling all participants in the upcoming Virginia Junior Academy of Science! Be sure to visit Ms. Warden in room 115 BEFORE leaving for Winter Break — she has some important information for you. Again, everyone who plans to attend VJAS in 2020 needs to see Ms. Warden TODAY. Thanks, science wolves!!
    .
  • Attention athletes!  If you plan to participate in a winter sport next year — be sure to submit a completed PHYSICAL to Ms. Hogwood in the Activities Office.  Again, you MUST have a physical on file to play a WMS sport.  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
    .
  • It’s the most wonderful time of the year – to return those OVERDUE library books! Before you head home for the holidays — make sure to drop off any and all overdue books to the return bin in the main library.  And if you find any overdue books at home — please put them in your book bag so you don’t forget to return them next year.
    .
  • Have you checked the lost and found lately? There is a virtual MOUNTAIN of jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles, lunch boxes, and so much more. Be sure to take a look at the lost-and-found table by the cafeteria — you may just find some long lost treasures!
    .
  • And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch. Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus! See Ms. Wielechoski in the office with any questions.
    .
  • And finally today — as we prepare to flip the calendar to a brand new year, we at WOLF-TV just want to remind everyone to reflect on all the things we were thankful for in 2019.  Roll Tape!!
