  • We begin today with WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Spirit Week rolls on here at WMS — and today is Hat Day. Thanks to all the students and staff who got into the “school spirit” and dressed the part. But remember — there’s two days left to get in on the fun. Here’s the schedule for the rest of the week:  it’s Tacky Sweater Day on Wednesday — and finally Pajama Day on Thursday — just make sure it’s school appropriate. There’s no Friday theme… because it’s Winter Break, baby!  Spirit Week at WMS — and Be a Part of the Pride!!

  • And now to WMS sports!  The girls basketball team played its toughest game of the year yesterday, but lost a heartbreaker to Swanson Middle School on the road.  The Admirals built a quick 8 to nothing lead, but the Wolves stormed back and took and 1-point advantage into the half.  Then in the second, Swanson took the lead again, but this time held off a furious Williamsburg come back down the stretch — and won by a single basket.  It was a great game, and the Coach says everyone played hard until the end.  Way to go, baller wolves!!  [clap]  The team will play its final game of the season TODAY at Jefferson Middle School.  Let’s root them on to victory and end the season strong!  Go Wolf Pack PRIDE!!

  • Have you made a New Year’s Resolution? The Student Services Staff will be in the cafeteria today for the second day of our new, school-wide initiative: “New Year – New Goals – New YOU!”  To participate, just get a strip of paper, write your NAME on one side, and on the other side a GOAL that you’d like to achieve in the coming year. All those goals will then be linked together into a paper-chain that will be strung around the cafeteria. It will serve as a reminder of all we hope to accomplish in the future. So be sure to participate in this fun activity, and be a part of the pride!!

  • It’s better to GIVE than to RECEIVE! Tomorrow is the final day of the WMS Kindness Club’s “Fill the Cruiser – Holiday Toy Drive.”  Students and staff are encouraged to bring in NEW and UNWRAPPED gifts, all of which will be given to APS students in need this holiday season. Grade-level donation bins are located in the library. So keep the donations coming, and we’ll see which grade has the most GENEROUS holiday spirit. Spread kindness where you may, and donate to the Toy Drive today!!
