  • Spirit Week - December CORRECTIONLet’s start things off with WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  It’s SPIRIT WEEK here at WMS! Thanks to all the students who dressed like teachers, and teachers who dressed like students for SWITCH IT UP Day.  You’ve got school spirit — yes you do!!
    .
Now here’s the rundown for the rest of the week: Spirit week continues on Wednesday with Hawaiian Day, so wear your best flowered shirt. Thursday will be a blast-from-the-past with Decade Day. And finally, Friday is our favorite holiday tradition: UGLY SWEATER DAY!! So get into the school spirit, wolves, and BE A PART OF THE PRIDE!!
    .
  • Fill the Cruiser Toy DriveWolf Pack Pride continues with the WMS Kindness Club — whose “Fill the Cruiser” Toy Drive was a HUGE success!  In 2 weeks of fundraising, we collected a TRUCKLOAD of toys — which will help to brighten the holidays for so many deserving kids in Arlington.
    .
But wait — there’s MORE!  Congratulations to the 6th grade for donating more toys than anyone else!  As the winners, all 6th grade TAs were entered into a raffle — and the winner is:  Ms. Woodbury’s TA!  Congratulations!! You’ll have a special token of appreciation delivered to you in TA tomorrow. Thanks again, Williamsburg, for being a part of the PRIDE!
    .
  • And KUDOS to the WMS boys basketball team, who played a pair of tough games last week.  On Tuesday, they scored a convincing win over Kenmore — 50 to 30.  8th grader Chris R. led the way with 12 points, and the team defense controlled the ball throughout.
    .
And on Thursday, we took on Jefferson Middle School — but fortune was against us.  The Wolves lost their first game of the year — 54 to 41.  They played hard, but just couldn’t catch up.  But we’ll definitely take a SPLIT for the week.  Way to go, baller wolves!! [clap]  Boys Basketball plays their final game of the season this THURSDAY against Swanson.  Let’s root them on to victory, and be a part of the pride!!
    .
