It’s Spirit Week here at WMS! Thanks to all of the students and staff who showed their WOLF PACK PRIDE for “Baby It’s Cold Outside Day!” — and wore your coziest hat, scarf, or PJs. You’ve got spirit, yes you do!!

Spirit Week wraps up TOMORROW with our final theme: “Ugly Sweater Day!” The tackier — the better. Spirit Week at WMS — Be a Part of the Wolf Pack Pride!!

Attention Jazz Band! There is NO rehearsal today after school — but practices will resume on after Winter Break on January 4th. Once again — Jazz Band is cancelled for today. See Ms. Vesilind with any questions.

The WMS Boys-to-Men Club will be meeting TODAY after school in room 124. Participants will be building friendships, developing leadership skills, and promoting a “safe space” to discuss issues like race, ethnicity, religion, and LGBTQIA+. Check it out — and make a difference in our school and our community. Contact Mr. Gardner, Ms. Wielechowski or Ms. Sicer with any questions.

Submissions for the “2022 MLK Virtual Literary and Visual Arts Contest” are due TODAY. Projects should be based on a written or artistic interpretation of a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Go to the WMS website for more information. Good luck!

Take down… Reversal… PIN!! The WMS Wrestling Team is gearing up for a new season! Interested athletes are invited to the informational meeting TODAY after school in the cafeteria. See Mr. Mencarini with any questions.

Calling all athletes! Anyone interested in trying out for the upcoming Wresting or Girls Basketball seasons MUST sign-up using the Google Form on the WMS website under each sports’ TAB. Also, your “sports physical” must be submitted by this FRIDAY. The new seasons begin right after Winter Break — so don’t miss out! See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

The Boys Basketball Team will be wrapping up its season TODAY against Kenmore on the home court. Students and staff are invited pack the stands and root them on to victory!! Just be sure to sign-up on the WMS website to get your wristband. Let’s go, wolves!!

And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Congratulations to Ms. Cahn and the WMS Orchestra who performed their Winter Concert last night. They put on an AMAZING show — featuring our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade string musicians. It was a great way to usher in the holiday season. Way to go, musical wolves!!

Wolf Pack Pride continues with even more good news from our music department. FIFTEEN Williamsburgers have been selected to represent our school in the Arlington Honors Band!

This accomplishment is even more impressive because they had to compete against 7th, 8th, and NINTH graders to win a spot!
