  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Winter Break Spirit Week, 2021It’s Spirit Week here at WMS!  Thanks to all of the students and staff who showed their WOLF PACK PRIDE for “Jingle all the Way Day!” — and wore your favorite Holiday gear.  You’ve got spirit, yes you do!!

    And here’s the rundown for the rest of the week:  Wednesday is Candy Cane Day — so get decked-out in red and white.

    Thursday is Baby It’s Cold Outside Day — so wear your coziest hat, scarf or PJs.
    .
    And finally, Friday is Ugly Sweater Day — the tackier the better.  Spirit Week at WMS — Be a Part of the Wolf Pack Pride!!

  • The WMS Helping Hands club will meet TODAY in the library wolf den during ASP 1.  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

  • Calling all MUNNERS!!  The Model UN Club will hold its last meeting of 2021 TODAY in room C105 during ASP 1.  You’ll be getting permission slips for upcoming conferences — and information about WOLFMUN in January. All are welcome!  Contact Mr. McDermott with any questions.

  • There’s a new club at WMS this year — Boys-to-Men — which is committed to building friendships, developing leadership skills, and promoting a “safe space” to discuss issues like race, ethnicity, religion, and LGBTQIA+. Boys-to-Men will be meeting this THURSDAY — and twice-a-month all year long.  Check it out — and make a difference in our school and our community.  Contact Mr. Gardner, Ms. Wielechowski or Ms. Sicer with any questions.

  • Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had a dream — it was a dream about FREEDOM.   Students in all grade levels are invited to compete in the “2022 MLK Virtual Literary and Visual Arts Contest.”  To participate, please develop a written or artistic interpretation of a Dr. King quote that explores how YOU can take a stand and support a vision of equality throughout our society.  The submission deadline is this THURSDAY.   • Take down…  Reversal… PIN!!  The WMS Wrestling Team is gearing up for a new season!  Interested athletes are invited to the informational meeting this Thursday after school in room 216. See Mr. Mencarini with any questions.

  • Calling all athletes!  Anyone interested in trying out for the upcoming Wresting or Girls Basketball seasons MUST sign-up using the Google Form on the WMS website under each sports’ TAB. Also, your “sports physical” must be submitted by this FRIDAY.  The new seasons begin right after Winter Break — so don’t miss out!  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

  • It’s better to GIVE than to RECEIVE! The WMS Helping Hands Club is holding a “gift” drive in support of the Virginia Hospital Center Pediatrics Unit.  Plus, there’s a “gift card” drive for Arlington families in need.  Helping Hands will be collecting donations until this WEDNESDAY. The bin for gift cards is located in the front office. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

  • But wait — there’s MORE!  The WMS Orchestra is partnering with Toys for Tots for a Holiday Toy Drive!  NEW or GENTLY USED gifts may be dropped-off in the donation bins located outside of the Library and Auditorium from now through THURSDAY. So show your WOLF PACK PRIDE and donate to the Toy Drive TODAY!!
