  • Today is an EARLY RELEASE DAY at WMS so we’ll be following a shortened schedule — ending at 11:54 this afternoon.  Be advised there is NO Wolf Time this morning — so students should proceed directly to 1st period following the Morning Announcements.  Be sure to check with your TA teacher for your class schedule and lunch period. Hooray for the short day!!
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE! The WMS music program hosted the 2018 Winter Orchestra and Chorus Concert last night in the school auditorium. Hundreds of students, staff, and community members attended the show. And the performance was AMAZING — demonstrating the skill and commitment of our many young musicians as they played the songs of the season. Way to go, musical wolves!! [clap]

  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with the WMS Model UN Club — which hosted the WOLFMUN’ 2′ Conference right here at Williamsburg last weekend. The event was a HUGE success, with over 100 students from 6 different middle schools participating. It was a LOT of work — and
.a LOT of fun. Way to go, MUNner wolves!! [clap]  The next Model UN meeting will be held this THURSDAY during ASP 1 in room 202.  See Ms. Carlson’s with any questions.
    .
  • Last call for books!! The WMS Academic Book Fair ends TODAY at dismissal. So this is your LAST CHANCE to walk the aisles and find the “right read” for you. Stop by during your lunch period — and go get yourself a good book!  And for those of you who didn’t get a chance to buy a “mega pointer” — they’re baaaack!
    .
  • Calling all actors, singers, and technicians! Auditions for the WMS Spring Musical — Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland, Jr.” — will take place in the auditorium on THURSDAY during ASP 1 and 2; and again next MONDAY during ASP 1 only. Interested performers should prepare three things — the song “Happy Birthday”, a short nursery rhyme, and another song of YOUR CHOICE that highlights YOUR VOICE. See Mr. Brown with any questions. Break a leg!
    .
  • The Sister Circle “Secret Snowman and Holiday Party” will be held this THURSDAY during ASP 1 in room 201. Participants are reminded to bring your gift — and get ready for a jolly good time! See Ms. Cameron with questions.
    .
  • Take down…  Reversal… PIN!!  The WMS Wrestling Team is gearing up for a new season.  See if you have what it takes to be the best pound for pound wrestler in the school — or even the county! Interested athletes are invited to an informational meeting next MONDAY during ASP 1 in room WW1.  Then PRACTICES will begin following Winter Break.  See Mr. Mencarini with any questions.

  • It’s better to GIVE than to RECEIVE! Just THREE DAYS remain for the Kindness Club’s “Fill the Cruiser — Holiday Toy Drive.” NEW and UNWRAPPED gifts may be dropped-off in the grade-level bins in the library. Everything that’s collected will be given to local children in need this holiday season. And remember — whichever grade donates the most will be entered into a raffle to receive a special token of gratitude. Spread kindness where you may, and donate to the Toy Drive TODAY!!

  • And now, for a little “historical perspective,” — student reporters Sarah C. and John E. bring us:  “This Week in History!!”
