  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Calling all scientists, technicians, engineers, and mathematicians!!  The Virginia Junior Academy of Science — a statewide “STEM” competition — is gearing up for 2022!  7th and 8th graders who are interested in turning their science projects into research papers and participating in VJAS are invited to an interest meeting TODAY in room 115 during 8th grade Wolf Time OR 7th grade lunch — and you can bring your food!  See Ms. Warden with any questions.

  • The WMS Chorus will be performing its Winter Concert TONIGHT in the school auditorium at 7pm.  Students and staff and invited to come out and ring in the holiday season with some festive holiday music.  Admission is FREE — and it’s sure to be a great time.  So show your WOLF PACK PRIDE — and we’ll see you at the Chorus Winter Concert tonight!!

  • Show someone you care this holiday season and place your order for a Candy Cane Candy Gram — benefiting the WMS Best Buddies Club. Candy Grams are just 1-dollar — and you can get the order form from your TA teacher.  Just be sure to purchase your Candy Gram by this FRIDAY — and they’ll be delivered to the person-of-your-choice next Wednesday, December 15th.  See Ms. Nance with any questions.   • Calling all athletes!  Anyone interested in trying out for the upcoming Wresting or Girls Basketball seasons MUST turn-in your “sports physical” by next FRIDAY, December 17th.  The new seasons begin right after Winter Break — so don’t miss out!  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

  • And speaking of sports, the WMS Boys Basketball team is hosting TJ after school at 3:15 in the Gym.  So let’s pack the stands and root them on to victory! Students can sign-up to attend the game on the WMS website until noon today — and you’ll receive your wristbands at lunch.  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

  • And there’s another BIG GAME today after school on the turf fields! The WMS Girls Soccer team will be squaring off against TJ in the final match of the season. No registration is necessary — just come on out, dress warm, and support our wolves as they go for the win!!

  • Who wants hot chocolate???  TOMORROW and every Friday until March 18th, the WMS Best Buddies Club will be hosting its annual Hot Chocolate Fundraiser outside of the cafeteria during TA.  It’s just 1-dollar per cup — and all of the money goes to support our fantastic Best Buddies program.

    However, due to OVERWHELMING demand, every TA will be assigned a specific week to get hot chocolate.  Tomorrow will be Luengo, Murphy, Klink, and Warden.  Be sure to check with your TA teacher to find out when it’s YOUR turn. Enjoy the hot chocolate, buddy!

  • Winter Break Spirit Week, 2021And finally — Winter Break is just around the corner!  So let’s celebrate with a Pre-Winter Break Spirit Week!!

    That’s right!  All next week, students and staff are invited to dress up according to the daily theme.  Here’s the rundown:  Monday is a Winter Wonderland Day — please wear BLUE and WHITE to raise awareness about drunk and drugged driving.
    .
    Tuesday is Jingle All the Way Day— so put on your favorite Holiday gear.
    .
    Wednesday is Candy Cane Day — so get decked-out in red and white.
    .
    Thursday is Baby It’s Cold Outside Day — so wear your coziest hat, scarf or PJs.
    .
    And finally, Friday is Ugly Sweater Day — the tackier the better.  Spirit Week at WMS — Be a Part of the Wolf Pack Pride!!
