  • Today is an EARLY RELEASE day, so the schedule is a little different than usual.  We will be following a modified “Anchor” C-Day schedule. That means TA ends at 7:59, and then you’ll be attending periods 1 through 7.  Be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class.  Again, this is a modified “Anchor” C-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Calling all scientists, technicians, engineers, and mathematicians!!  The Virginia Junior Academy of Science — a statewide “STEM” competition — is gearing up for 2022!  7th and 8th graders who are interested in turning their science projects into research papers and participating in VJAS are invited to an interest meeting this THURSDAY in room 115 during 8th grade Wolf Time OR 7th grade lunch — and you can bring your food!  See Ms. Warden with any questions.

  • Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had a dream — it was a dream about FREEDOM.   Students in all grade levels are invited to compete in the “2022 MLK Virtual Literary and Visual Arts Contest.”  To participate, please develop a written or artistic interpretation of a Dr. King quote that explores how YOU can take a stand and support a vision of equality throughout our society.  The submission deadline is next THURSDAY, December 16th.   • Show someone you care this holiday season and place your order for a Candy Cane Candy Gram — benefiting the WMS Best Buddies Club. Candy Grams are just 1-dollar — and you can get the order form from your TA teacher.  Just be sure to purchase your Candy Gram by this FRIDAY — and they’ll be delivered to the person-of-your-choice next Wednesday, December 15th.  See Ms. Nance with any questions.   • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Congratulations to Ms. Vesilind and the WMS Band for an incredible Winter Concert last night in the school auditorium.  Our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade musicians absolutely rocked the house!  The concert was attended by hundreds of students, family members and guests — who gave the performers a well-deserved standing ovation.  Way to go, musical wolves!! [clap]

  • And there’s even more music in store over the next 2-weeks! The WMS Chorus is performing its Winter Concert this THURSDAY at 7pm, and the Orchestra has its concert next WEDNESDAY at 7pm.  Both shows are absolutely FREE — and the music will having you singing along to some of your favorite holiday tunes.  Show your WOLF PACK PRIDE and support our school musicians at the Winter Concert series.

  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with the girls Soccer Team, who scored a BIG WIN on the road against Gunston yesterday, 6 to 5. The wolves were powered by 8th grader Anna L. and 7th grader Lola C. with 2-goals each, and 8th grader Bridget  L. and 7th grader Taylor R. who chipped-in one apiece.  It was a terrific all around effort.  Way to go, soccer wolves!! [clap]

  • Be sure to come out to the soccer fields TOMORROW at 3:15 and show your support for the girls Soccer Team in their final match of the season again TJ.  Go get ‘em, wolves!!
