  • Tweet, Tweet, Williamsburg! WMS students are invited to join a new after school “Bird Club!” If you love nature — this club will have you “flying high.” Get it?! The bi-weekly meetings start this THURSDAY during ASP 1 in room 112. Please see Ms. Araya to sign-up, or with any questions.
  • Model UN members who would like to attend the upcoming Williams and Mary Conference MUST turn in their applications by this THURSDAY. Please see Ms. Carlson to get the form, or with any questions.
  • Attention 8th graders! Yorktown High School’s award-winning “Winter Colorguard” is seeking new members for the upcoming season. There will be an interest meeting TOMORROW from 3:15 to 3:45 in the Yorktown choir room, number 188 — and an open house at Yorktown next Tuesday and Friday evening in room 183.   • The LEO CLUB will be meeting in the CAFETERIA on THURSDAY — to hear a special guest speaker for Veterans’ Day. LEOs will also be making “Thank You” cards for vets at a local nursing home. GO LEOS !!
  • Need help with Espanol? Spanish tutoring will take place next TUESDAY during ASP 2 in room WW6. Please see Senora Stewart with any questions. Hasta Pronto!
  • Congratulations to the WMS boys Ultimate Frisbee team — for sweeping a pair of games against Kenmore on Monday. The 6th and 7th graders won: 13 to 4. And the 7th and 8th graders won: 20 to 3. Come root on the team TODAY as they take on rival HB Woodlawn. Way to go, ultimate wolves!! [clap]
  • The annual FUNdraiser for the Williamsburg PTA is ON! Just go to the “WMS PTA” link on the WMS homepage, then select “No Frills Fundraiser” to make a donation. All contributions go towards school activities and events. And remember — everyone who donates will be entered into the “Donut Hero” drawing!
  • Donate to Leo Club’s Annual Coat Drive for the Homeless! Collection boxes are located in the library, and students are encouraged donate new or gently-used coats, scarves, gloves and socks. YOUR HELP can make all the difference to a person-in-need this winter!!
