  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! The girls Ultimate team played a pair of games on Monday and earned a split — winning one, and losing one.
    .
The victory came against Gunston Middle School — and it was a barn burner!  Our 6th and 7th grade players used a stifling defense and quick scoring plays to overwhelm the competition — resulting in a lopsided 17 to 0 shutout.  But our 8th graders came up just short in a wind-blown game against Jefferson Middle School — dropping the match 9 to 5.
    .
But everybody played their hearts out — and the team remains in the hunt for a County Championship.  Way to go, ultimate wolves!! [clap]

  • Attention 8th graders! This is a reminder that the Patriots will be visiting Arlington Tech TODAY from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Once again, the Patriots are attending the Arlington Tech orientation this morning. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • Listen up, 7th graders! Are you passionate about writing? Are you always making up stories or creating movies in your head? Then the WMS 7th grade “NaNoWriMo” writing team is the perfect place for YOU. Just come to room C106 during any 7th grade lunch period during the month of November — and use the time to create, to write, and to share your ideas. Challenge yourself to WRITE for an entire month — see if you can reach a certain word count, or even draft an entire novel! See Ms. Han or your English teacher with any questions. And remember — writers are always RIGHT!!

  • The Making Movies Club has been CANCELLED for today.  Once again, there will not be a meeting of the Making Movies Club after school this afternoon — but meetings will resume next week.  See Ms. Bacon with any questions.
    .
  • If you participate in an after school program here at Williamsburg — then we’ve got a very important announcement for YOU. The WMS Yearbook will be taking group pictures of all WMS clubs and after school activities over the next few weeks. First on the schedule — this Thursday during ASP 1, Yearbook will be taking pictures of the following clubs: Model UN, the TSA, Wolfbots Robotics, Chess, Act 2 Art, Act 2 Choir, and Act 2 Drama. Again, if you are in any of those groups, your Yearbook picture is scheduled for TOMORROW after school. Stay tuned for more information about additional Yearbook club pictures coming next week.
    .
  • And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the LATE bus. If you’re ever planning to take the LATE BUS after school — you MUST have a signed bus pass for both ASP1 and 2. If you do not have a pass — you will NOT be allowed to ride the late bus. Again — the pass must be SIGNED for both ASP1 and 2 in order to ride the Late Bus. See your grade-level administrator with any questions.
