  • Blue Day ScheduleToday we will be following the BLUE DAY schedule.  That means we start with an extended TA until 8:25.  During this time, teachers may request to meet with students for individualized help and instruction.  Otherwise, students will remain in their TAs and use this extra time to organize, study, or read!
    .
After that, you’ll proceed to periods 1 through 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class.  Again, this is BLUE day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • TA Pictures Schedule, 2023Attention all TAs!!  Smile for the camera!  Over the next two weeks, the WMS Yearbook Staff will be taking TA pictures of the entire school!  Here’s the schedule:  6th grade TAs go first, this Thursday and Friday — 7th grade TAs will be next Monday and Tuesday — and 8th grade TAs will be next Thursday and Friday.  Make-ups and retakes will be scheduled for after Winter Break.  Contact Mr. Schonfeld with any questions — and say CHEESE!!
    .
  • Winter CHEER tryouts are HERE!  Students interested in cheering for the winter basketball season are encouraged to attend practice after school TODAY — in preparation for TRYOUTS on December 5th.  And make sure you have your physical turned-in!  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
    .
  • Scholastic Book Fair, 2022Get ready for a book bonanza!! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to WMS — all next week in the WMS Library.  Every English class is already signed up to to participate, but students can also visit before TA, during lunch, and after school on most days. The Book Fair will also be open for special evening hours next Tuesday and Wednesday to coincide with our upcoming Winter Concerts.  See our school librarians for more information. Hooray for books!!
    .
  • And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Solomon!  In recognition of Computer Security Day — students are reminded that you absolutely, positively, MUST have a passcode for your iPad! This basic security measure ensures that all of your personal information remains safe and secure.
    .
And please — DON’T share your password with anyone!  Because as soon as you do, it’s no longer a secret!!  If you’re having password problems or any other issue with your iPad, be sure to submit the online Student Tech Help Request Form.  Ms. Solomon’s got the solution for getting you back online!
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  The WMS Boys soccer team defeated Dorthy Hamm yesterday 4 to 2 to stay undefeated. The Wolves were led on offense by 8th graders Ian H. with a Hat-trick and an assist; Arbazz S. with a goal; and George C., Conor M., and Dylan P. with assists.
    .
And props to the defense, led by 7th grader Liam S. — who saved the day with a goal-line  clearance to prevent a goal.  Way to go, soccer wolves!! [clap]
    .
  • And finally, GOOBLE GOOBLE!! Last Thursday was Thanksgiving — an American tradition going back hundreds of years.
    .
But how much do you really know about this holiday?  It’s time to spin — The Wheel of Trivia!!  Roll tape!!
