  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • And now, we’d like to welcome a special guest to the WOLF-TV studio — to continue our celebration of KINDNESS WEEK at WMS. Everyone say HELLO to Ms. Pugliese!!!
    .
  • PUGLIESE:  Good Morning, Williamsburg! I am Ms. Pugliese, your 6th grade counselor.
    .
As we continue our celebration of Kindness Week at WMS — I’d like to point out a simple truth about kindness that we all need to remember:  if you perform an “act of kindness” for someone — then THAT person is more likely to perform an “act of kindness” for others!
    .
Kindness begets kindness.  It passes from one person to another, creating a ripple effect like a drop of water hitting the surface of a lake — spreading far and wide and impacting everything — and everyone — it touches. And each one of YOU has the ability to help make our shared community a “kinder” place.
    .
For example — remember the leftover Halloween Candy drive?  That was organized by the WMS Kindness Club! With your support, we collected and donated eleven HUGE shipping boxes full of candy to Operation Gratitude — a charitable organization that distributed all the sweet treats to first responders, veterans, and active duty military.  It was a wonderful success.
    .
And that was just one of many programs we’ve got in store this year.  If you’d like to get into the spirit of kindness, then I encourage you to drop by the WMS Kindness Club for our next meeting scheduled for next Monday — and continuing every other Monday — during ASP 1 in Room 136.  Everyone is welcome to join, and I promise that you’ll find it a rewarding experience.
    .
There are SO many ways to spread kindness — and they all start with YOU.  So be kind to one another, wolves, and Be a Part of the Pride!!
    .
  • Thanks, Ms. Pugliese!  Up next — If you participate in a club or after school program here at Williamsburg — then we’ve got a very important announcement for YOU. The WMS Yearbook will be taking pictures of all WMS groups and activities over the next few weeks. First up — TODAY during TA — the Dance Club should report to the library for your group picture.  And then the Check-In program will take theirs during ASP 1 in the cafeteria. And next Monday during ASP 1 — the Kindness Club will have its picture, too.  Members of those clubs should plan to get there ASAP so they’re not left out of the picture! Stay tuned for more information about additional Yearbook club pictures coming soon.
    .
  • Attention all TAB members! This is a reminder that your field trip — to Swanson Middle School to see author Ibi Zaboi — is TODAY.  Participants should come to the library at 9 a.m. for the ride over — and don’t forget to bring your book, a water bottle, and snacks. See Ms. Lord with any questions — or if you need a new copy of the book.
    .
  • Calling all Best Buddies! The Best Buddies field trip to the International Spy Museum is scheduled for December 4th — but members are reminded that in order to participate, today is your LAST CHANCE to turn-in your permission slip.  The field trip is certain to be a blast — so you won’t want to miss it. See Ms. Parris with any questions. Thanks, buddy!!
    .
  • Did you miss Picture Day last month — or did your picture not turn out so well? Then you’re in luck — because “Picture Make-Up Day” is coming soon!  On Tuesday, December 3rd, picture retakes will be taken in the Auxiliary Gym — 8th graders during TA;  and 7th and 6th graders during their Wolf Time periods.  If it’s your first school picture, just go on down.  But if it’s a retake, then you must bring your unwanted picture packet with you to exchange. And remember — if you don’t take a picture, then you WON’T be included in the WMS yearbook. See Ms. Wielechowski in the main office with any questions. Say cheese!
    .
