  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule.  That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class.  Again, this is a B-Day.  See your TA teacher with any questions.

    But please be aware that the schedule is going to look a little bit different for our 7th and 8th graders today.  Due to the Arlington Tech field trip, 7th and 8th grade lunches will be REVERSED.  7th graders will go to period 5, then lunch, then Wolf Time; while 8th graders will go to Wolf Time, then period 5, then lunch.  The 6th grade lunch schedule will remain unchanged.  See your teachers with any questions.

  • Attention 6th, 7th, and 8th graders!! All students must bring their iPads to PE from now until next Tuesday.  You’ll be recording fitness scores and setting goals for the following quarter.  When fitness testing is complete, you can lock you iPad in your PE locker. But DON’T FORGET them after class!  Once again, everyone should bring your iPad to PE.

  • Read any good books lately? The “Talk about Books” Club” — a.k.a. TAB — will be meeting TODAY during all grade level lunches in the library. So grab your grub and come take a look at these Totally Awesome Books!!

  • Calling all sports fans!! The Spotlight Women Sports Club will be meeting this THURSDAY during ASP 1 and 2 in room 118.  All are welcome! See Ms. Young for more information.

  • The Technology Student Association — aka the TSA — will NOT be meeting today.  Once again, there is no TSA this week.  See Mr. Dudek with any questions.

  • Calling all MUNNERS! The Model UN Club will be meeting this THURSDAY during ASP 1 in room C105.  Participants will debrief from last weekend’s GW Conference and plan out the remaining dates for the year.  And even if you’ve never been to Model UN before — everyone is welcome to come by and see how this club tackles real-world, historical, and crisis committee issues.  See Mr. McDermott for more information.
    .2023 MLK Literary & Visual Arts Contest
  • Winter CHEER tryouts are almost here!  Students interested in cheering for the winter basketball season are encouraged to attend practice on November 29th and 30th — in preparation for TRYOUTS on December 5th.  And make sure you have your physical turned-in!  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

  • Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had a dream — it was a dream about FREEDOM.   Students in all grade levels are invited to compete in the “2023 MLK Literary and Visual Arts Contest.”  Just go to the WMS website for instructions and for more information about this year’s theme.  The deadline for submissions is this FRIDAY, November 18th.

  •  What is your favorite holiday movie?And finally, the holiday season is nearly upon us.  And you know what that means — it’s time for holiday movies!!  There have been countless holiday classics over the years, like “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” “Elf,” “Die Hard,”  and so many more.  What’s your favorite?
