  • We begin today with Wolf Pack Pride!  The WMS tennis team came out “swinging” against Gunston Middle School on Tuesday — but fell just short, losing for the first time this season: 3 to 2.  But there were some truly great games, highlighted by 8th grader Dominick S. who had a big win in boys singles.  Great effort, tennis wolves!! [clap]  A reminder to the tennis team that there is NO practice after school today.  But get ready for next TUESDAY, when they’ll be looking to get back in the “win column” against Jefferson in the final regular match of the year.

  • Speaking of sports, we’ve got a pair of big games coming up this afternoon.  First, the boys Ultimate Frisbee Team takes on Swanson Middle School on our home turf TODAY at 3pm.  And the WMS Dive Team is “splashing down” against Jefferson at the Yorktown pool at 3:30.  So head on over, pack the stands, and root them on to victory.  Let’s GO WOLVES!!

  • Latinas Leading Tomorrow — otherwise known as the LLT — will NOT be meeting today.  Instead, the first LLT meeting of the year will be rescheduled for next THURSDAY during ASP 1 in room 214.  Members and allies are encouraged to come and join the discussion! See Ms. Winter with any questions.

  • Calling all Math Lovers! The “countdown” is on for Math Counts! The first meeting will be next TUESDAY during ASP 1 in room WW 1.  Students from all grades are welcome to come and have fun with numbers.  See Ms. Janney or Mr. Mencarini with any questions.  You can “count” on it!

  • Did you know that this week marks the half-way point of the first quarter?  Teachers will be submitting their mid-term grades by this FRIDAY at the latest.  So if you have any missing assignments or make-up work to complete:  it’s NOW OR NEVER.  And if you’re not sure, just TALK to your classroom teachers.  Remember, they really do want you to be successful — you’ve just got to SELF-ADVOCATE.  Get it done, wolves!
