  • It’s National Walk and Bike to School Day, and on behalf of our “planet,” we’d like to thank all of our students and staff who left their cars at home today and came to Williamsburg on their own two feet — or wheels!   Millions of people all over the country are participating in this event — which promotes physical health, reduces pollution, and helps to build a sense of community.  Way to go, walkers and bikers!! [clap]

  • And now for some WOLF PACK PRIDE!  The WMS girls Soccer Team continues to DOMINATE on the field — cruising to a 5 to 1 victory over Gunston at home yesterday. And let’s hear it for 8th grader Shay M. — who went wild with FOUR GOALS in the contest!  Those are some SERIOUS skills right there.  It was a great all around game for all of our players — and it’s shaping up to be quite a season.  Way to go, soccer wolves!! [clap]

  • Listen up, everybody!  The Student Services Department is conducting an electronic survey TODAY during TA, immediately following the Morning Announcements.  To participate with your iPad or classroom laptop, simply go to the Counseling section of the WMS website, then click “Career and Naviance,” and finally select “Naviance” again and you’re ready to begin.  Just log-in, complete the questions, and you’re done!  Please contact Mr. Caldwell with any questions.

  • Calling all Math Lovers! The “countdown” is on for Math Counts! The first meeting will be next TUESDAY during ASP 1 in room WW 1.  Students from all grades are welcome to come and have fun with numbers.  See Ms. Janney or Mr. Mencarini with any questions.  You can “count” on it!

  • On a serious note — we’ve got a reality check for all you students today.  Did you know that this week marks the half-way point of the first quarter?  Teachers will be submitting their mid-term grades by this FRIDAY at the latest.  So if you have any missing assignments or make-up work to complete:  it’s NOW OR NEVER.  And if you’re not sure, just TALK to you’re classroom teachers.  Remember, they really do want you to be successful — you’ve just got to SELF-ADVOCATE.  Get it done, wolves!
