  • Happy Halloween, wolves!! We begin today with WOLF PACK PRIDE!  The halls are crawling with costumed kiddies and dressed-up grown-ups this morning — as Williamsburg prepares for All Hallow’s Eve.  Good job to everyone who got into the spirit for this “creepy” occasion.  Now be sure to strut your “spooky” stuff at the annual PE Halloween Costume Contest today. All grade level Health and PE classes will be joining in the “howling” fun— so get your “scary” on, and Ghoul Luck!!

  • Speaking of Halloween costumes, there are some important guidelines you need to follow today. Basically, costumes must conform to the WMS dress code, not offend anyone, no weapons, no masks, and nothing inappropriate. And if you’re not sure — ask a teacher or administrator. If your costume crosses the line, you’re not in trouble — but a school official may ask you get “in line.” Thanks for understanding, and have a Happy Halloween!!

  • Calling all dancers, musicians, writers, filmmakers, and visual artists! The PTA Reflections Contest has been EXTENDED until this FRIDAY. So put your creative genius to the test and develop a project around this year’s theme: “Within Reach.” Just get a submission form and turn-in your entry to the “Reflections” box in the library. Go to the PTA website for more information.

  • How would you like to be featured in a special section of the yearbook this year? The WMS yearbook is still accepting pictures for both the “Summer Vacation” and “Now & Then” sections of its annual publication. If you’ve got some fun pics, just email them to elizabeth.briones@apsva.us or bring them down to room 136. See Ms. Briones with any questions.
    .
  • SOCKTOBER is wrapping up today — so this is your last chance to donate socks and other winter clothing to help the homeless in Arlington.  The WMS Kindness Club will be collecting all of the donation boxes during their meeting after school, TODAY during ASP 1 in room 134.  All are welcome to attend — both members and first-timers — as they tally up the donations and determine the winning TA from each grade.  See Ms. Schaefer with any questions.  And be KIND to one another!!
    .
  • Attention Model UN Students! There will be a special guest from “Best Delegate” coming to the meeting this THURSDAY during ASP 1 in room 202.  He will run a fun activity on “negotiation skills” that you WON’T want to miss.  Also, stay tuned for updates about WOLFMUN — the first even Model UN debate being hosted right here at Williamsburg — scheduled for Saturday, November 18th. See Mrs. Carlson with any questions.

  • Brush your hair, wash your face, and smile for the camera, everybody — because next MONDAY is PICTURE DAY at WMS!! Student photographs will be taken during PE class, so be sure to bring your “picture order form” with you. Extras are located in the office, or you can download a form from the WMS website.  See Ms. Argenal with any questions. Say cheese!!
