  • That’s right, everybody — it’s a HALF-DAY today!  Teachers and students are reminded that we’ll be following an Early Release schedule.  TA will end promptly at 8 A.M., and classes are just 26 minutes long!  You’re welcome, Williamsburg!
  • It’s Day 2 of the SCA Election! If you still haven’t voted, just scan the QR code with your iPad to get started. Or, if you don’t have an iPad, you should log-in to your Google account on any classroom computer, go to the Morning Announcements Blog on the WMS website, then follow the attached link.

  • Calling all Math-Lovers!! “Math Counts” will begin this THURSDAY. The lunch locations are: 6th graders in room 203; 7th grade in room 134; and 8th graders in room WW3. The after school location is WW4 for all students. Hooray for math!!
  • Attention Model UN! There is a very important meeting on THURSDAY for all members. And for those students going to McMUN and HAMUN this coming weekend — your attendance is MANDATORY! Be sure to bring your iPad, and see Mrs. Carlson with any questions.
  • Boys Ultimate Frisbee is set to begin next MONDAY. 6th, 7th and 8th graders are all encouraged to join. No experience necessary — just a love of the game. Interested athletes are asked to sign up on the activity board by the cafeteria — and you do NOT need a physical to play. Please see Mr. Smo, Mr. Witte, or Mr. Clark for more information.
  • The WMS Tennis Team is invited to an end-of-year party — this THURSDAY during ASP 1 in Mr. Seeger’s room. Be sure to bring your WMS tennis shirt — CLEANED and FOLDED please!! — and a few dollars for pizza!
  • “Saturday Science Help” will take place THIS SATURDAY from 8:30 to 11:30 A.M. in the Science Trailer. 7th and 8th grade students are encouraged to attend. Just be sure to register with your science teacher first. Science rocks!!
  • WMS girls soccer is about to begin!! Interested athletes are asked to sign-up on the activity board by the cafeteria — and you must have a physical on file to participate. Tryouts for 6th graders are next MONDAY, for 7th graders next TUESDAY, and 8th graders next THURSDAY. Please see Coach Girard with any questions.
  • Need help with Spanish?  The Yorktown tutors are back! Next TUESDAY in room WW11 during ASP 2. Please see your Spanish teacher to sign up. Get the extra practice you need to succeed. Hasta Pronto!
  • The deadline for the PTA Reflections Contest has been EXTENDED until this FRIDAY. The theme is ‘What is your Story?” Let’s see what you can create!
  • Hey 7th grade — are you ready to PARTY?! The 7th Grade “Oktoberfest” is this THURSDAY after school in the cafeteria. Come for music, dancing, snacks, games and prizes. Be sure to remind your parents to donate food, drinks, paper products, and gifts for the raffle — or they can even volunteer — because who DOESN’T want their MOM to be at their middle school party???? The 7th grade Octoberfest — don’t forget your “lederhosen!”
  • And now — it’s time for adventure! Grab a ticket and come along for WOLF-TV’s newest segment: “Traveling Around the Region with Bora and Tony!”
