  • It’s Election Day at WMS! Immediately following the morning announcements, all students are asked to please use their iPads to vote for our new SCA leadership — just scan the QR code to get started.  Or if you don’t have an iPad, you should log-in to your Google account on any classroom computer, go to the Morning Announcements Blog on the WMS website, then follow attached link.

    Cast your ballot for President, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, historian, and event coordinator. And remember, you can only vote once. So MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD, Williamsburg!!

  • Hey 8th graders! If you’re planning to visit Arlington Tech next month, you MUST turn-in your permission slip TODAY. Please see Ms. Flynn or Mr. Hicks for more information.
  • Attention all Model UN students going to conferences this SATURDAY: you MUST turn-in your delegate fees by TODAY. This is VERY important! Please see Ms. Carlson with any questions.
  • Dribble, pass, shoot, SCORE!! WMS girls soccer is about to begin!!  There will be an information session TODAY in room C102 during all grade-level lunches. Interested athletes are also asked to sign-up on the activity board by the cafeteria — and you must have a physical on file to participate. Tryouts for 6th graders are next MONDAY, for 7th graders next TUESDAY, and 8th graders next THURSDAY.  Please see Coach Girard with any questions.
  • Calling all Math-Lovers!! “Math Counts” will begin this THURSDAY, both The lunch locations are: 6th graders in room 203; 7th graders in room C102; and 8th graders in room WW3. And the after school location is WW4 for all students. Hooray for math!!
  • Hey 7th grade — are you ready to PARTY?! The 7th Grade “Oktoberfest” is this THURSDAY after school in the cafeteria. Come for music, dancing, snacks, games and prizes. Be sure to remind your parents to donate food, drinks, paper products, and gifts for the raffle — or they can even volunteer — because who DOESN’T want their MOM to be at their middle school party???? The 7th grade Octoberfest — don’t forget your “lederhosen!”
  • The WMS Tennis Team is invited to an end-of-year tennis party — this THURSDAY during ASP 1 in Mr. Seeger’s room. Be sure to bring your WMS tennis shirt — CLEANED and FOLDED please!! — and a few dollars for pizza!
  • The deadline for the PTA Reflections Contest has been EXTENDED until this FRIDAY. The theme is ‘What is your Story?” Let’s see what you can create!
  • Boys Ultimate Frisbee is set to begin next MONDAY, October 24th. 6th, 7th and 8th graders are all encouraged to join. No experience necessary — just a love of the game. Interested athletes are asked to sign up on the activity board by the cafeteria — and you do NOT need a physical to play. Please see Mr. Smo, Mr. Witte, or Mr. Clark for more information.
  • Discovery Elementary School will be hosting “PumpkinFest” on Sunday, October 30th from 12 to 4PM. There will be a parade, pumpkin carving contest, dunk tank, moon bounce, food trucks and a ton of games. But they need YOUR HELP! Discovery needs middle school VOLUNTEERS to help make PumpkinFest a success. Interested students are encouraged to sign-up in the main office.
