- Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. And don’t forget, all students should go back to your TA for Wolf Time. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Hey, buddy!! The Best Buddies Club is hosting its first meeting of the year RIGHT NOW in the cafeteria. Any participants who haven’t gone yet should notify your TA teacher then come join the fun. Thanks, buddy!!
. - Covid testing will take place TODAY from 11am to 1pm in the auditorium hallway. If you’ve signed-up for testing, Ms. Hogwood will message you on Canvas when it’s your turn to head over. But again, please wait to hear from Ms. Hogwood before going to Covid testing.
. - Brush your hair, wash your face, and smile for the camera! SCHOOL PICTURE DAY is scheduled for next week — October 13th and 14th — during PE class. Picture packages can be ordered ONLINE by going to the WMS website. See Ms. Cummings in the main office with any questions. Say cheese!!
. - Let’s play some frisbee!! Girl’s Ultimate begins next TUESDAY, October 11th in the main gym after school. There are NO TRYOUTS — just complete the sign-up form outside of the cafeteria and be there for the first session next week. See Mr. Smolinski with any questions.
. - Stroke, Stroke, Stroke!! Yorktown Crew is looking for a few good 8th graders to join the team. Interested rowers should come to the informational meeting next WEDNESDAY at 7pm in Yorktown’s Patriot Hall. Meet the coach, talk with current athletes, and learn all about this amazing sport. Again, 8th graders ONLY!
. - Hey, Wolf Pack? What would you think about Williamsburg hosting a school-wide DANCE PARTY? Ms. Hogwood wants to know your thoughts!! Students are encouraged to complete the QR code outside of her office — which is across from the cafeteria. And if enough students say “Yes” — then we gonna party!! See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
. - We’ve got spirit, yes we do! We’ve got spirit, how about YOU?!? Next THURSDAY, the WMS SCA is proud to present the first SPIRIT DAY of the new year. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, all students and staff are asked to PINK OUT!
.

. - Pop quiz — How much candy is sold for Halloween?
.
It’s gotta be MILLIONS.
.
More like BILLIONS!! According to the National Retail Federation, over 3-BILLION dollars worth of candy are sold every Halloween. There’s M&Ms, skittles, Reese’s peanut butter cups, Nerds, and so much more!
.
Stop it — you’re making me hungry!!
.
I’ve got another question for you — what kind of candy do you think is the most POPULAR on Halloween?
.
I don’t know — but we’re gonna find out! The WMS Library just kicked-off its 2nd annual “Halloween Candy Sweet 16.” Just go to the Library Canvas Course and follow the link to cast your vote for Round-1. We’ll unveil the next round on WOLF-TV every Friday — and reveal the Champion right after Halloween.
