  • Today we will be following the “anchor” C-Day schedule.  That means you’ll be attending periods 1 through 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. And remember, there is NO Wolf Time today.  Again, this is an “anchor” C-Day.  See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • And speaking of Wolf Time — it’s “time” to choose your first Wolf Time rotation!  There’s a host of activities that your teachers have planned for you during Wolf Time this year — and YOU get to pick your favorites.  6th, 7th and 8th graders are all asked to complete their Wolf Time Selection forms during TA today.  And then your first rotation will begin on October 18th.  See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • This just in — we’ve got an update on PE uniforms!  Long story short: they’re still not here.  According to the vendor, labor shortages and supply chain problems are causing the delay.  So everyone is asked to please be patient and understanding as we try to get your orders filled.

  • Hey, buddy!  You need a ride?  Arlington Transit will be visiting WMS this THURSDAY with an exclusive opportunity for students.  You can purchase an iRide Smart Trip Card for just 2-dollars — which can be used to get around town on Metro and its fleet of buses.  No one is required to buy a card — but it’s a great deal if you want it.   Contact Ms. Mays in the main office with any questions.
    .
  • It’s nearly time for Boys Ultimate Frisbee season!  The first practice is scheduled for next Tuesday, October 12th.  All are welcome to join — whether you’re an experienced player or just starting out.  Interested athletes should sign-up beforehand using the QR code outside of the cafeteria, or just come on down to the gym next Tuesday. See Mr. Smolinski with any questions.
    .
  • Brush your hair, wash your face, and smile for the camera — because “School Picture Day” is coming!  Portraits will be taken during PE classes on Monday, October 18th for ‘A’ Day and 5th period students; and Tuesday, October 19th for ‘B’ Day students. Remember, to place your purchase orders in advance! Be sure to get a Picture Day Order Form from your TA teacher — and say CHEESE!!
    .
  • Attention TENNIS TEAM!!  All tennis players are asked to please complete ANOTHER Google Form on the WMS website.  Sorry for the inconvenience, but there was a “glitch” on the original version you filled out last week. So, once again, all WMS tennis players MUST fill-out another Google Form — and have it done by this FRIDAY. Contact Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
    .
  • And now it’s time for Wolf Pack Pride!  The Girls Ultimate team went looking for their first win of the season against Swanson on Monday but came up JUST short, losing 6 to 8. But they played their hearts out — Mae F., Skye G., and Sophia G. came down with some clutch catches.  While Clare D. and Cecilia C. made some outstanding throws. Good game, Ultimate wolves!! [clap]
    .
  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with the WMS Tennis Team, who served and volleyed their way to a BIG WIN over Jefferson on-the-road yesterday — 4 to 1.  Props to Nolan B. and Ginger B. for dominating in singles; to Katherine T., Leah W., Jonah T. and Chase W. who all dominated in doubles — and a strong effort from the entire team.  Way to go, tennis wolves!! [clap]
    .
  • And even more PRIDE for the WMS Boys Soccer Team — who avenged their opening day loss with a huge WIN over Thomas Jefferson yesterday — 3 to 2.  The wolves were lead by 8th grader Owen D. who scored 2-goals, and Chris G. who chipped in the third.  Great assists from 8th graders Owen C. and Rohan K. And outstanding play from the entire squad.  Way to go, soccer wolves!! [clap]
