  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • Calling all students!  Mid-term grades are due TODAY!  That means if you’ve got any missing assignments or make-up work to do — it’s now or never.  So be sure to check Canvas and StudentVue, and contact your classroom teachers with any questions about your grade.  Get it done, Wolves!!
    .
  • Read any good books lately? The “Talk about Books” Club” — a.k.a. TAB — will be meeting TODAY during all grade-level lunches in the library. No need to sign-up; just grab your grub, get a pass, come up to the library, and take a look at these Totally Awesome Books!!  See Ms. Tan in the Library with any questions.
    .
  • The Gender Sexuality Alliance Club — aka the GSA —  will be hosting its first meeting of the year TODAY right after school in room 112.  All are welcome!  Whether you’re LGBTQ+ or an ally, it’s a great place to come together and support your friends and classmates.  See Ms. Bleakly with any questions.
    .
  • Calling all math lovers! Math Counts will be meeting TODAY during ASP 1 in room 216. All 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are invited to do math problems, play math games, and hone your problem solving skills. And this year, Math Counts is partnering with AMC-8!  It’s all math, all the time at Math Counts! See Ms. Janney or Mr. Mencarini for more information.
    .
  • Everybody, SING!!!  ACT II CHORUS will be holding its first class TODAY after school.  Participants are reminded to bring a pocket folder, water, and your best singing voice!  If you can’t make it today, please be sure to be there for the second class on Thursday.  It’s gonna be a BLAST.  Contact Ms. McTavish with any questions about Act II Chorus.
    .
  • And speaking of Act II — there’s still time to sign-up for either of our Act II offerings:  Choir and Drama.  These classes meet twice a week after school, and grades DO count on your report card.  Interested students are asked to complete the Google Form on the Act II tab of the WMS website — even if you signed-up at the Activities Fair.  See Ms. Hogwood OR the Act II teachers with any questions.
    .
  • Hey, buddy!  You need a ride?  Arlington Transit will be visiting WMS this THURSDAY with an exclusive opportunity for students.  You can purchase an iRide Smart Trip Card for just 2-dollars — which can be used to get around town on Metro and its fleet of buses.  No one is required to buy a card — but it’s a great deal if you want it.   Contact Ms. Mays in the main office with any questions.
