  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Halloween guidelinesIt’s almost time for Halloween!  This Friday, Students and staff are encouraged to dress up in your best costume for the occasion. However, there are some important guidelines that you need to follow.
    .
Basically, costumes must conform to the WMS dress code, not offend anyone, no weapons, no masks or hoods that cover your entire face or hide your identity, nothing inappropriate — and everything else you see on your screen.
    .
And if you’re not sure — err on the side of caution and DON’T WEAR IT!  See our admin team with any questions. Thanks for understanding, and have a Happy Halloween, wolves!
    .
  • Red Ribbon Week, 2021It’s “Red Ribbon Week” here at WMS — raising AWARENESS about the dangers of drug use, and to educate young people in our community about drug-free activities.  Did you know that many teens report using drugs and alcohol for the first time because they were simply curious or wanted to experiment with new things?  But we need to remember the importance of making HEALTHY choices and avoiding risky behavior that could have serious consequences.
    .
Thanks to all the students and staff who showed their school spirit by wearing Williamsburg gear for today’s theme — Keeping our School DRUG FREE!! Be sure to join your counselor and members of the Williamsburg Youth Task Force during lunch today for more Red Ribbon Week activities!
    .
Red Ribbon Week wraps up tomorrow with our final theme — Wear RED in support of Red Ribbon Week!  And since we’re also celebrating Halloween tomorrow, BONUS POINTS if your costume happens to be red!  Thanks for supporting Red Ribbon Week, wolves!!

  • And now for a technology tip from Ms. Solomon.  THIS is a standard-issue school iPad.  As you can see, it is completely enclosed by its protective case and is firmly attached to its keyboard.  Recently, many students have been REMOVING their iPads from the case — and not surprisingly, many of those iPads are BREAKING.
    .
Students are reminded that iPads MUST be kept in their cases at ALL TIMES.  If you’re seen without a case, it could result in serious consequences, including a phone call home.  Any questions?  Contact Ms. Solomon, or submit a Student Tech Help Request form.
    .
  • TAB LunchPop Quiz!  What do “Long Way Down” by Jason Reynolds, “Cinder” by Marissa Meyer, and “Trapped” by Michael Northrop have in common?
    .
I know this one!  They’ve all been “TAB Top Picks” here at WMS — and TAB students actually got to MEET and TALK to the authors!!  If you’d like to read some Totally Awesome Books — and meet some Totally Awesome Authors — then be sure to come to the next TAB meeting next MONDAY during all grade-level lunches.  Just grab your grub and come on up to the library.  Hooray for BOOKS!!
    .
  • Calling all players from this year’s WMS Tennis Team!  Congratulations once again on a SENSATIONAL season!! But now that it’s over, it’s time to return your uniform.  Please WASH your shirt, put it in a bag that’s labeled your name and grade, and drop it off to Ms. Hogwood in room 110 by the end of next week. Contact Mr. Seeger with any questions.
    .
  • Attention everyone on Boys Ultimate and Cheer! Please be sure to complete the team roster Google Form by 2:30pm today! Also, members of the girls’ soccer team, should complete their Google Forms after receiving a uniform from Coach Treble. Contact Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
