  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Calling all math lovers! Math Counts will be meeting TODAY during ASP 1 in room 216. All 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are invited to do math problems, play math games, and hone your problem solving skills. • Believe it or not, but the 1st Quarter is rapidly coming to a close. Which means: it’s almost time for the Wolf Paw Drawing!!! That’s right — the 1st Quarter Wolf Paw Drawing will be held this FRIDAY during TA. But you MUST submit your Wolf Paws no later than this WEDNESDAY by 1-o’clock to be eligible.  And if you’d like a sneak-peak at the prizes, go check-out the display case by the library. There’s some great stuff in there — so stop dawdling and turn in your Paws by Wednesday!
    .
  • And now for an update on PE uniforms!! T-Shirts and gym bags were delivered last week.  But due problems with the supply chain, the shorts may not arrive for another week or longer.  These delays are out of our control and your patience is appreciated.  And one more thing:  any student who didn’t order a uniform may still do so — just get an order form from your PE teacher.
    .
  • Put your creative genius to the test! The annual PTA Reflections Contest is still accepting submissions until TOMORROW, October 26th.  This year’s theme is: “I will change the world by…” Submission forms can be found in the WMS Library.  So unleash your inner artist and submit to the PTA Reflections Contest today!!

  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  A great day at the Countywide Tennis Tournament last Wednesday — where the Williamsburg Tennis Team WON the County Championship!!
    .
On the Boys side, teammates Nolan B. And Jonah T. both advanced to the final round —  but Nolan came out the winner of a very close game.  And on the Girls side, teammates Ginger B. and Leah W. ALSO played each other in the finals — and it was Ginger coming out on top of the very competitive match.
    .
All the players did their absolute best, and demonstrated superb sportsmanship throughout.  Congrats on the Championship, tennis wolves, and on a fantastic season!! [clap]
    .
  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with the WMS Chorus — who teamed-up with the Yorktown choir for a “spooktacular” Halloween Concert last Wednesday night.
    .
They also celebrated the season with a costume contest and LOTS of candy. It was a terrific first concert of the year.  Way to go, singing wolves!! [clap]
    .
  • Red Ribbon Week, 2021It’s “Red Ribbon Week” here at WMS — raising AWARENESS about the dangers of drug use, and to educate young people in our community about drug-free activities.  Thanks to all the students and staff who wore PAJAMAS today to show your support.
    .
And here’s the schedule for the rest of the week —  Tuesday is “Team up against drugs day”, so wear your favorite TEAM JERSEY; Wednesday is PINK DAY for Breast Cancer Awareness; Thursday is School Spirit Day; and Friday is WEAR RED DAY. And be sure to join your counselor and members of the Williamsburg Youth Task Force during lunch today to show your school spirit for Red Ribbon Week!!
