  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Thanks to all the students and staff who wore their favorite TEAM JERSEY today — in support of Red Ribbon Week and keeping our community drug-free. The Red Ribbon celebration continues next week with SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY on Monday;  then Tuesday is CRAZY HAIR & SOCKS DAY; next Wednesday is RED CLOTHING DAY; and finally next Thursday is SUPERHERO DAY. Take the pledge to live a drug-free life — and BE A PART OF THE PRIDE!!

  • Today’s the day!! Williamsburg will be hosting parent/teacher conferences — TONIGHT from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.; and again TOMORROW from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. No appointment is necessary, and conferences are “arena-style” — so tell your parents to just come on in and have a chat.   I’m sure they’ve got LOADS to talk about.  Hooray for Parent-Teacher Conferences!!!
    .
  • Due to the upcoming parent-teacher conferences — the gym will be CLOSED today.  All PE classes should report to the auditorium instead.  Once again, the gym is CLOSED — so PE will be held in the auditorium.  Just find your teacher and be sure to sit with your class.
    .
  •  ACT 2 Drama and Art have also been cancelled today.  Again — Drama and Art ACT 2 classes will NOT be meeting this afternoon.  But classes will resume next week.  See your ACT 2 teacher with any questions.
    .
  • Listen up, ballers!  Everyone on the WMS girls basketball team is required to attend CONCUSSION TESTING — today after school in room 136.  See Ms. Warden with any questions.
    .
  • Put your creative genius to the test! There’s still time to participate in the annual PTA Reflections Contest.  This year’s theme is: “Look Within.”  So whether you’re an artist, a musician, an actor, or a designer — if you’ve got something to say… this is your chance to say it!  Just pick up an application from the Library, and submit your project by next Monday.  Get to work, creative wolves!!
    .
  • Attention 6th graders — It’s time to GET DOWN and BOOOOOOOO-gie! Just in time for Halloween, the WMS Spook-tacular Dance Party is coming at you — courtesy of the WMS PTA. The 6th grade party is scheduled for next TUESDAY, October 29th — during ASP 1 and 2 in the cafeteria — so you can still take the late bus home. There will be food, a DJ, dancing, games, raffles, prizes and more. And please — despite the Halloween theme — NO COSTUMES. Trick or Treat, wolves!!
    .
  • PE Swag for the Fall season and on sale now — we’ve got hoodies — long sleeve ‘Ts’ — and of course, comfy sweatpants! Don’t get left out in the cold! See your PE teacher for an order form — and get your Fall PE gear before they’re sold out. The last day to submit your order is November 4th. Show your Wolf Pack Pride and get your PE gear TODAY!
    .
  • All members of the WMS Tennis Team are reminded to return your WMS tennis shirts as soon as possible — but PLEASE don’t forget to wash them first!!! Again, return your LAUNDERED tennis shirts to Mr. Seeger in room 202 — before school, during lunch, or after the final bell.
    .
  • And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch. Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus! See Ms. Wielechoski in the office with any questions.
    .
  • And finally today — the Nats were back in action last night, in their quest to bring home the World Series Trophy.  WOLF-TV student-reporter Elijah D. is standing-by with the results.
    .
  • ELIJAH:  Hello, Nats Nation!  It was an absolute BARN BURNER in Houston last night — where your Washington Nationals ERUPTED for a 12 to 3 victory over the rival Astros.  Ace Stephen Strasburg out-dueled Cy Young candidate Justin Verlander for the win — and the offense got big hits up and down the order. The Nats now hold a commanding 2 to zero lead in the best of 7 series.  Gameplay resumes Friday night at Nationals Park — for the first DC World Series game in over 80-years.  Let’s go Nats!!!
