  • Attention 8th graders! Today, the PATRIOTS team will be visiting the Arlington Career Center. These tours are NOT just for students who plan to apply to Arlington Tech. Many of you will take courses at the Career Center while in high school, and this is your chance to see everything it has to offer. Patriots should go to there lockers following FIRST PERIOD and put everything away, and then proceed immediately to the cafeteria. Have a good trip!

  • Just two days remain for the WMS Kindness Club’s “Hurricane Relief Fundraiser!”  All cash and check donations can be left in the donation boxes in each grade level holding area before TA, and all money raised will go to relief organizations providing essential help and services to the victims of Hurricane Florence and Hurricane Michael.  And remember — whichever grade raises the most will be eligible for a TA drawing. At last count, the 6th grade leads the field with over 500-dollars in donations!  Now go do your part for Hurricane Relief — because every penny counts!

  • And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Solomon! You absolutely, positively, MUST have a passcode for your iPad. This basic security measure ensures that all of your personal information remains safe and secure.  Also, be sure to WRITE DOWN your passcode so you don’t forget it — and consider sharing it with your parents, too!  Any other problems or concerns with your iPad?  Just submit an online “Student Tech. Help Request” — and Ms. Solomon will have the solution!

  • Listen Up, Wolf Pack!  Did you know that ONE-in-EIGHT women will develop invasive breast cancer over her lifetime? October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. • And finally today — Tell your parents! Arena-style conferences are THIS WEEK — Thursday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.; and Friday from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. No appointment is necessary, just come on in and have a chat. What could be better — your parents and teachers, alone in a room, talking about YOU.  Hooray for Parent-Teacher Conferences!!
