- There’s NO SCHOOL this Friday — so TODAY we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5 and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - And do you know WHY there’s no school on Friday?
.
Yup — because of Parent-Teacher Conferences!!
.
Exactly! This THURSDAY from 4:30 to 7:30pm, and FRIDAY from 8 to 11:30am, parents and guardians are invited to meet VIRTUALLY with all of your teachers on MS Teams.
.
Just tell your folks to register for a slot using “Sign-Up Genius” through the WMS website, or ask your TA teacher for more information.
.
Parents and teachers together — what could be better than that?!
. - And speaking of Parent-Teacher Conferences — we’ve got an important scheduling note for all ACT II Chorus and Theater students!! There IS still class on Thursday, but they’ll be ending earlier than usual — at 3:30pm — so that your teachers can prepare for their conferences. Students can still take the late bus home — but again, ACT II classes will end at 3:30 on Thursday.
. - In-school COVID testing will begin TODAY at 10am. Participating students are reminded to follow your regular schedule until your TEACHER releases you for the test. Again, COVID testing starts today!
. - Attention all TENNIS PLAYERS competing in today’s County Tournament — participating players MUST contact Ms. Hogwood on Canvas if you’ll need a bus from Bluemont back to Williamsburg after the match! Again, tennis players — contact Ms. Hogwood if you need a ride back to school.
. - She shoots — she SCORES!! WMS Girls Soccer will be holding its first day of tryouts on TODAY after school on the Turf Fields. Players are reminded to wear your cleats and shin guards if you have them, bring water, and have a physical on file. See Coach Treble with any questions.
. - Dribble, shoot, nothing but net!! Tryouts for the WMS Boys Basketball team wrap-up on THURSDAY after school. Players should come ready to play!! And don’t forget to submit your physical to participate. See Ms. Warden in room 115 with any questions.
. - And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! The 1st Model UN “virtual” conference of the year took place at Holten-Arms last Saturday — and with just 2-weeks of preparation, the Williamsburg team did us proud! Participants defended indigenous people’s “land rights”, debated access to clean water, and proposed “green solutions” to combat climate change.
.
Big Props to award winners Liam O., Maya U-T., Ginger L., Zara M., and Thane L. Way to go, MUNNER Wolves! [clap]
. - Wolf Pack Pride continues with the WMS Tennis Team — who had an AMAZING day at the Countywide DOUBLES Tournament at Bluemont yesterday. Partners Nolan B. And Ginger B. took the County Championship in Mixed Doubles; followed by Jonah T. and Chase W., who won it all in Boys Doubles. And great playing by Katherine T. And Leah W, who took runner-up at Girls Doubles. Way to go, tennis wolves!! [clap]
.
Next up for the Tennis Team — the Countywide SINGLES Tournament scheduled for this afternoon. So everybody show your WOLF PACK PRIDE and let’s root them on to victory! Good luck, players!!
