  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. And don’t forget that we’re now in our 1st Wolf Time rotation — so make sure you know where to go.  Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • Attention WMS Tennis Team!!  Today is the second day of the County Championships! Participants are reminded to eat at 6th grade lunch today — then meet at the bus loop by 11:30 for the trip to Bluemont Park.  See Ms. Hogwood or Mr. Mencarini with any questions.  Good luck, tennis players!!
    .
  • He shoots, he scores!! Boys Soccer will be holding tryouts starting TODAY after school on the turf fields. Come ready to play!  See Mr. Treble with any questions.
    .
  • And to EVERYONE trying out for Boys Soccer or Girls Basketball — you need to have a physical on file by TODAY in order to participate.  If you still haven’t turned-in your physical, you MUST see Ms. Hogwood by 10:45 this morning before she leaves for the tennis tournament. Once again, this is your LAST CHANCE to submit your physical.
    .
  • Who wants CANDY???  Today is your last chance to vote for the Halloween Candy Elite 8!  Just go to the WMS Library Canvas course to vote — and we’ll announce the Final Four tomorrow. May the best candy win!!
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  In recognition of National Bullying Prevention Month, today is UNITY DAY here at WMS.
    .
Big shout out to all of our student and staff who dressed in ORANGE to show their support.  Thanks for standing up against bullying — and for being a part of the WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  [clap]
    .
  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with the WMS Tennis Team — who competed in the doubles portion of the County Championship at Bluemont Park yesterday.  8th graders Kat T. and Leah H. were absolute SUPER STARS — winning the county championship for Women’s Doubles in four straight matches!
    .
Big props also go to Will B. and Kendal P. for making it to the semifinals in mixed doubles; and to Michael K. and Duc P. who were semifinalists in Men’s Doubles.   Congratulations — and way to go, tennis wolves!! [clap]
    .
  • Who wants to PIE YOUR TEACHER?!?  Three staff members from each grade are putting themselves on the block for the WMS SCA “Pie in the Face Fundraiser!”  Starting TODAY, students can vote on which teacher gets the pie by donating money to that teacher’s box in the cafeteria.
    .
And whichever teacher raises the most money gets PIED in front of the whole grade! All proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, so it’s a pie for a good cause.  So be a part of the Wolf Pack Pride — and Pie Your Teacher for charity!!
    .
  • And finally — it’s nearly time for Parent-Teacher Conferences!!  This THURSDAY from 4:30 to 7:30pm, and FRIDAY from 8 to 11:30am, parents and guardians are invited to meet VIRTUALLY with all of your teachers on MS Teams.
    .
Just tell your folks to register for a slot using “Sign-Up Genius” through the WMS website, or ask your TA teacher for more information.  Parents and teachers together — what could be better than that?!
