  • We begin today with an important message from our Student Services Staff.  Middle School can be a challenging time — and sometimes those challenges can seem like too much to bear.
    .
Many students struggle with mental health — and thoughts of suicide are a very real threat to the health and well-being of our friends and classmates.  But here at WMS, when the people we care about are struggling — THAT is when it’s time to ACT.

For more information about our ACT initiative, or if YOU or someone you care about needs help — please speak to a counselor, administrator, or trusted adult.  The time to act — is NOW.

  • Attention 8th graders!  Next week, ALL 8th graders will be visiting the Arlington Career Center. These tours are NOT just for students who plan to apply to Arlington Tech.  Many of you will take courses at the Career Center while in high school, and this is your chance to see everything it has to offer.  Permission slips MUST be turned-in by this FRIDAY.  See Ms. Boyers in the main office with any questions.
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!  The WMS tennis team was a FORCE to be reckoned with at the Arlington County Doubles Championship yesterday.  In the boys draw, doubles partners Jaylei F. and Drew A. advanced all the way to the finals and took home second place.
    .
And over on the girls side, there was no stopping partners Eleni G. and Jacklynka S. — who dominated the entire field and took home the 1st place trophy.  Congratulations to all of our players on a fantastic year.  Way to go, tennis wolves!! [clap]. And now, it’s time to party!  Everyone on the tennis team is invited to the season-ending pizza party TODAY during ASP 1 in Mr. Seeger’s room. Be sure to bring your CLEAN team shirt and a few bucks for food.
