  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE! The WMS Tennis Team will be representing our school today at the Arlington County Championship — “Singles Tournament” to be played at Bluemont Park. Participating players are reminded to meet at the bus loop this afternoon at 11:30 for the ride over. Good luck, tennis wolves — bring home the gold!! [clap]

  • Cross-over dribble — pump-fake — jump shot — nothing but NET! The WMS girls Basketball team is getting ready for the new season. Interested players are encouraged to sign-up by scanning the QR code on the pink flyers posted throughout the school. Tryouts are scheduled for TODAY and next MONDAY — after school in the main gym. And don’t forget — you must have a physical on file to participate. See Mrs. Warden in room 115 with any questions. Good luck, ballers!!

  • BEST BUDDIES will be meeting on FRIDAY during TA in room 108 for a marvelous morning of Halloween games and activities!  Participants are reminded to check-in with your TA teacher first — then come on down and join the fun. This is your chance to make new friends — and make a difference with some amazing kids.  See Ms. Parris with any questions.  Thanks, Buddy!!
    .
  • Put on your shin guards and cleats, because it’s time to play soccer! Tryouts for the WMS boys soccer team will be NEXT WEEK after school. Here’s the schedule: 7th graders tryout on MONDAY; 6th graders on TUESDAY; and finally 8th graders next THURSDAY — all on the turf fields from 2:30 to 4. Come dressed and ready to play — and remember that you need a physical on-file to participate! Interested athletes should sign-up on the activity board outside of the cafeteria. See Mr. Witte with any questions.

  • Are YOU ready to help make Williamsburg a KINDER place? The WMS Kindness Club will be hosting its first meeting of the year — next MONDAY during ASP 1 in room 136.  Participants will work on a range of projects and activities throughout the year that “promote positivity” and “spark joy” in every member of our shared community. See Ms. Pugliese, Ms. Briones, or Mr. G with any questions.  Be kind to one another, wolves!!

  • Attention 6th and 7th graders — It’s time to GET DOWN and BOOOOOOOO-gie! Just in time for Halloween, the WMS Spook-tacular Dance Party is coming at you — courtesy of the WMS PTA. The 7th grade party is scheduled for next TUESDAY, October 22nd; and the 6th grade party is just one week later, TUESDAY, October 29th — both during ASP 1 and 2 in the cafeteria — so you can still take the late bus home. There will be food, a DJ, dancing, games, raffles, prizes and more. And please — despite the Halloween theme — NO COSTUMES. Trick or Treat, wolves!!

  • Why did the piano player keep banging his head against the keys? He was trying to play by EAR. But seriously, if you’ve got an “ear” for music, then you should really submit your original music composition to the Annual PTA Reflections Contest! This year’s theme is “Look Within.” Pick up a copy of the submission guidelines and an entry form today from the library. The deadline to submit your creation is October 28th.
