  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. And don’t forget, all students should go back to your TA for Wolf Time.  Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Hey, buddy!  The Best Buddies Club is meeting RIGHT NOW in the cafeteria. Participants should check-in with their TA teachers then come on down and join the fun.  See Ms. Nance with any questions.  Thanks, buddy!!

  • Brush your hair, wash your face, and smile for the camera!  It’s SCHOOL PICTURE DAY at WMS during all PE classes.  Picture packages can be ordered ONLINE by going to the WMS website. And PE students are asked to bring a BOOK or your iPad to class.  And remember to say “cheese” for School Picture Day!!

  • It’s time to make time for Wolf Time!!  Next Monday, all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will be starting their Wolf Time rotations.  So be sure to check with your TA teachers to find out where you’ll be going.  And if you haven’t signed-up yet — do it NOW!!  Again, the 1st Wolf Time rotation begins on Monday.

  • Calling all artists!!  There are still spaces available for Art Act 2 — an after school class that will take your art to the next level.  See Ms. Hogwood for more information about signing up!

  • Attention everyone on the WMS Tennis Team!!  The County Championships have been rescheduled for next TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY at Bluemont Park.  So your LAST CHANCE to practice is MONDAY after school at the Yorktown courts.  See Ms. Hogwood or Mr. Mencarini with any questions.

  • Look out world — here we come!  The Future Business Leaders of America — or FBLA — will be hosting its first meeting next MONDAY in room 136.  This project-based club focuses on Community Service, Leadership, and preparing for a successful career in business. All are welcome!  See Ms. Briones for more information.

  • He shoots, he scores!! Boys Soccer will be holding tryouts starting next WEDNESDAY after school on the turf fields.  But interested athletes MUST have their physicals turned-in by next TUESDAY to participate.  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

  • Halloween Candy Elite 8, 2022Who wants CANDY???  The Halloween Candy Elite 8 is now posted in the WMS Library Canvas course. Which candy will reign supreme?  Cast your vote between now and next Wednesday — and may the best candy win!!

  • And now for a special announcement for all students!! As we wrap up our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we’ve got a SWEET TREAT coming your way at lunch today.

    Churros and hot chocolate for everyone!!  They’ve been donated by Nestle’s, and there’s enough for EVERYONE.  So remember to come to the cafeteria for lunch — it’s going to be sweet!!

  • Who wants to PIE YOUR TEACHER?!?  Three staff members from each grade are putting themselves on the block for the WMS SCA “Pie in the Face Fundraiser!”  Starting next Monday, students can vote on which teacher gets the pie by donating money to that teacher’s box in the cafeteria.

    And whichever teacher raises the most money gets PIED in front of the whole grade! All proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, so it’s a pie for a good cause.  So be a part of the Wolf Pack Pride — and Pie Your Teacher for charity!!

  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! The WMS Girls Soccer team notched their 4th win in a row with a 2 to 1 victory over Swanson yesterday. The Wolves took an early lead on goals by 8th graders Lily S. and Eleanor P.  And the defense held tough in the 2nd half — led by 8th graders Addy H., Rebecca G., Grace G, and Meghan S.  Way to go, soccer wolves!!

  • And finally, a valued member of our shared community is moving away next week, and today is her last day of school.  So on behalf of all of us here at WMS, we’ve made this little video to say “goodbye” to our good friend:  Bea!
