Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE! The WMS Geo Bee was yesterday — and it was a match for the ages! Over 20 competitors from grades 6, 7, and 8 put their geography genius to the test, and battled it out for nearly TWO HOURS. But in the end, there could be only one. Congratulations to this year’s Geo Bee Champion: 8th grader Kekoa O! Congratulations, Kekoa, and to ALL of this year’s competitors for a great match. Way to go, Geo wolves!! [clap]

But Kekoa isn’t done yet. He now has to prepare for an even more intense contest: the 2020 Arlington County Geo Bee — where he’ll be representing our school against some of the best minds in Northern Virginia. Good luck, Kekoa!!

The ACT 2 Theatre Arts Class is proud to present “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe” — premiering THIS WEEK: Today, Friday, and Saturday at 7 p.m., with an additional matinee show on Saturday at 2:30 — all in the school auditorium. Tickets are just 5-dollars for adults, 3-dollars for students, and 1-dollar for seniors. Enjoy the show!

One final announcement about the Theater — anyone who’d like to participate in the upcoming Spring Musical is invited to a “selection meeting” next MONDAY during ASP 1 in room 228. Once you’ve picked a play to perform — you’ll get information about auditions and rehearsals.

Calling all Best Buddies! The Best Buddies Club will be hosting its first meeting of the new year — this FRIDAY during during TA in room 108. Members and allies are invited to come make some friends — and make a difference with some amazing kids. See Ms. Parris with any questions. Thanks, Buddy!!

And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the LATE bus. If you’re ever planning to take the LATE BUS after school — you MUST have a signed bus pass for both ASP1 and 2. If you do not have a pass — you will NOT be allowed to ride the late bus. Again — the pass must be SIGNED for both ASP1 and 2 in order to ride the Late Bus. See your grade-level administrator with any questions.

Calling all members of the GIRLS SOCCER, CO-ED TENNIS, and BOYS ULTIMATE teams — your team Yearbook picture is scheduled for TODAY at 8am in the main gym — immediately following the Morning Announcements. So LEAVE NOW! Just check-in with your TA teacher and make your way to the auditorium. Once again — Girls Soccer, Co-Ed Tennis, and Boys Ultimate — it’s PICTURE TIME!!
