  • The final “refocus assembly” will be presented to the 7th grade Wizards team this morning during 1st period in the auditorium. All Wizards should report to their 1st period classes for attendance, and then proceed to the assembly with your 1st period teacher. This is a chance to go over some basic rules and expectations for the new year. So let’s all make a “resolution” to be our very best — and BE A PART OF THE PRIDE!!
    .
  • Attention Model UN Club!  There will be a pair of mandatory meetings this week for all students participating in the upcoming Gar-Field Conference — on TUESDAY and THURSDAY, both during ASP 1 in room 202.  See Ms. Carlson with any questions.
    .
  • The Kindness Club will be meeting TOMORROW during ASP 1 in room 134.  All are welcome to participate — new members and old — as they brainstorm ideas for the new year.  See Ms. Schaefer with any questions.
    .
  • The Boys Cohort meeting has been CANCELLED for tomorrow.  Instead, it’s been rescheduled for Monday, January 22nd.  See Mr. Hicks with any questions.
    .
  • The Future Business Leaders of America — aka the FBLA — will be meeting during Wolf Time on FRIDAY in room 137. Students will be discussing New Years resolutions and creating posters to display around the school.  Bring a friend and check it out!
    .
  • Did you know that throwing away old electronics and batteries can cause hazardous materials to seep into the ground?  It’s true!  But the WMS Earth Club has a solution:  There will be a special recycling drive from Today until January 19th here at Williamsburg.  Bring in cell phones, lap tops, cameras, batteries, or any other electronics and they’ll be safely wiped and recycled.  Just drop them in the bins by the main entrance or cafeteria.  See Ms. Mentch or a member of the Earth Club with any questions.
    .
  • And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch. Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a buss pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus! See Ms. Argenal in the office with any questions.
