Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

Attention athletes! If you plan to participate in a winter sport this year — be sure to submit a completed PHYSICAL to Ms. Hogwood in the Activities Office. Again, you MUST have a physical on file to play a WMS sport. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

Calling all math lovers! Beginning today and for the rest of January, Math Counts will be meeting with Ms. Janney in room C106 during ASP 1. All 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are invited to do math problems, play math games, and perform many other math activities. But again, the location has been moved to room C106. See Ms. Janney or Mr. Mencarini with any questions.

What’s that buzz? It’s the annual “WMS Geo Bee!” Coming this WEDNESDAY at noon in the auditorium — 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will put their knowledge to the test at this highly competitive trivia competition. There can only be one champion — but who will it “bee??” Students and staff are invited to the auditorium to watch the show in-person, or just tune-in to WOLF-TV to see the live broadcast starting at 12 o’clock. Go, Geo!!

And now for a pair of important announcements from the WMS Theater Department. First — The ACT 2 Theatre Arts Class is proud to present “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe” — the fantasy-classic adapted from the book by C.S. Lewis. Performances are THIS WEEK — Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7 p.m., and an additional matinee show on Saturday at 2:30 — all in the school auditorium. Tickets are just 5-dollars for adults, 3-dollars for students, and 1-dollar for seniors. Cast and crew are reminded that there will be MANDATORY rehearsals this Tuesday, and Wednesday until 5 p.m. Enjoy the show!

And now for an update on the Spring Musical — Sadly, Williamsburg was unable to procure the rights to “Mulan, Junior” — so we need to choose a NEW PLAY! Anyone and everyone who would like to participate in the Spring Musical is invited to a “selection meeting” next MONDAY, January 13th during ASP 1 in room 228. Once you’ve selected a new show, auditions will be held later this month. See Mr. Brown with any questions.

Attention TECHNOLOGY Wolves!! The Technology Student Association — aka the TSA — will NOT be meeting in January. But sessions are scheduled to resume in February at a new meeting time — every MONDAY during ASP 1. Once again, TSA will meet on MONDAYS starting next FEBRUARY.

Also, the Wolfbots Robotics meeting has been CANCELLED for today. But practices will resume this THURSDAY, January 9th. See Mr. Dudek with any questions about Wolfbots Robotics or the TSA.

Finally today — the WMS Yearbook will be taking group pictures of our WMS sports teams this week. On WEDNESDAY, it will be the Girls Soccer Team AND the Co-Ed Tennis Team. And then on THURSDAY it will be picture-time for the Boys Ultimate Team. All team members should report to the main gym during TA — IMMEDIATELY following the Morning Announcements for your team picture. And don’t be late — or you’ll miss the cut!
