- Today, we will be administering the Reading Virginia Growth Assessment to the entire school. To accommodate the test, we will be following a modified B-Day schedule. That means TA ends at 8am, the test goes until 9:10, and then you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — but there is NO Wolf Time. Again, this is a modified B-Day with no Wolf Time. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - And here’s a little more information about the Reading VGA. Most students will remain in their TA for the test unless otherwise directed by your TA teacher. All you need for the test is your iPad, but you may also have a pencil, a water bottle, and a book to read when you’re finished. No phones, earbuds, smart watches, nor any other electronic devices are allowed. See your TA teacher with any other questions. And good luck on the test!!
. - Attention all 6th graders on the Exploratory Wheel! Starting today, you will be rotating to your next exploratory class. Theater goes to Family and Consumer Science in room 128; Family and Consumer Science goes to Visual Arts in room 127; Visual Arts goes to Journalism in the Library Classroom; and Journalism goes to Theater in room 228. Staff members will be stationed throughout the halls this afternoon to help you find your way — but please do your best to be ON TIME. Again, 6th graders begin their new Wheel classes TODAY.
. - WHAT ARE THOSE??? As part of our school’s commitment to sustainability, Williamsburg is supporting a Sneaker Recycling Program called “Got Sneakers!!” So if you have any old shoes lying around, don’t throw them away!! Instead, please donate them to “Got Sneakers” by dropping them off in room 233 by this FRIDAY. See Mr. Sundwick with any questions.
. - Give a helping hand to those in need! The Helping Hands club is hosting a DIAPER DRIVE to benefit the Greater DC Diaper Bank. Diapers of all sizes are the priority, but we are also collecting any other baby items that could be helpful to a new mother. Please consider donating and dropping items in the WMS lobby by this FRIDAY!
. - And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! The WMS girls basketball team hosted Swanson Middle School yesterday and cruised to victory — 33 to 8. Big props to leading scorers Sydney, Nora, and Caroline, and to the entire team for playing so strong on defense.
.
Williamsburg is now a perfect 4 and 0 this season, with an average margin of victory of over 25 points per game. Way to go, baller wolves!! [clap]
