  • The 2nd semester may be just starting — but it’s already time think about next year’s classes!  Here’s the plan:  today, our school counselors will be conducting academic planning in the auditorium.  7th graders will go during 3rd period, and 6th graders will go during 7th period.  Meanwhile, for our 8th graders, counselors from Yorktown High School will be leading an assembly today and tomorrow during your Wolf Time.  Students should go to their classrooms first, then come to the auditorium with your teachers.

    .
And for a little taste of what’s in store, see if you can answer this Geo Bee practice question:  The Malagasy people have strong ties with the French and live on the largest island in the Indian Ocean. Name this island.
    .
I know this one! It’s also the name of a famous movie.  The answer is: MADAGASCAR!!  Did you get it, too? See your social studies teachers with any questions about the Bee, and GOOD LUCK in the classroom competitions!
