  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • REVISED TA picture scheduleSmile for the camera! It’s Day-3 of TA pictures for the 2020 Yearbook. Here’s the rundown: 8th grade TAs will be photographed today and tomorrow — 7th grade TAs will be lnext Monday and Tuesday — and all grade-level Make-ups and retakes will be shot on January 29th and 30th.

    The photographers will be arranging you into 2-lines for the picture… OR, if you’re feeling more imaginative — you’re encouraged to creatively stage and arrange yourself for the picture. Just be sure to practice your pose in advance — and make sure we can see everyone’s faces! See Mr. Schonfeld with any questions about the TA pictures.

  • Calling all wrestlers competing in today’s match against Jefferson! Please go to the Clinic for your weigh-in immediately following the Morning Announcements. Once again, all wrestlers need to weigh-in.  See Mr. Mencarini with any questions.

  • Science, Technology, Engineering and Math! If YOU’D like a career in STEM, enjoy building things, and like working with POWER TOOLS — then Mr. Dudek’s ACT 2 “Inventions” class is for you! This “hands-on” class is being offered for the 2nd semester — from February to June — and meets after school 2-days a week. The sign-up sheet is posted on the Activities Board by the cafeteria. See Mr. Dudek in room 129 for more information.

  • Who Wants Pizza? The WMS Model UN Club will be hosting a pizza fundraiser this FRIDAY immediately after school — located in the main lobby by the library. It’s just 2-dollars a slice, and all proceeds will go to fund MUNner activities and scholarships. Pizza pizza!!

  • The Annual WMS Science Fair is almost here!! Students, parents and staff are invited to check-out the AMAZING student displays during the Science Fair open house — this Saturday morning from 8 to 8:45 a.m. in the cafeteria. Then judging begins at 9 o’clock. One of these exhibits could change the world — so come on out, support your friends and classmates, and be a part of the PRIDE. Science Rocks!!

  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!  The WMS boys basketball team “tipped off” its new season on Tuesday with a big win over Swanson Middle School — 33 to 25. 8th grader John T. led all scorers with 8 points, and the entire team played lock-down defense to secure the victory. You couldn’t ask for a better start to the schedule.  Way to go, baller wolves!! [clap]  Boys Basketball will play their first HOME GAME of the year TODAY after school in the main gym against Jefferson.  Students and staff are invited to come on down, root them on to victory, and be a part of the pride!! Go TEAM!

  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with the WMS Music program.  TWENTY Williamsburg students have been selected for the 2020 APS Honors Band — the most of any school in Arlington!  Congratulations to… Dora B.G., Jacob B.G., Moses B., Lucas B., Michael D., Ben F., Averie F., Ellie G., James H., Adam K., Madeline K., Julia L., Rachel L., Henry M., Gabriel O., Porter P., Aidan R., Rohan S., Natalie V., and Dylan Y.  Congratulations, musical wolves!!     And you can hear these amazing musicians for yourself at a FREE concert, this SATURDAY at 4 p.m. at Kenmore Middle School. So come on out, support the WMS Band, and be a part of the pride!!
